Q: Does the remote have a keypad if not is there a remote that does that is compatable?

The remote is a RMT-B119A and has a numerical keypad but not a letter keypad like a keyboard.

Q: can I surf the internet with this? Can I watch web content (flash)?

Yes, you can but it's quite complicated w/o keyboard. Takes time to use the remote. Won't recommend it. To watch web content (flash), I think you have to installed/download Adobe Flash Player or use HTML(???). Not really sure bout the technical things. I use this DVD player mostly to watch movies from Netflix/Amazon, which streams smoothly.

Q: wiil this work with amazon prime instant videos

yes. that is why I chose it. I use it mostly for Amazon Prime. The only problem is that sometimes it does not recognize the video is free - but the Amazon site corrects this immediately before I even ask. I've been using it for Prime for about a week - and so far, so good.

Q: Anyone else have Amazon Prime problems? Streaming from Amazon constantly reporting network down (falsely) and won't resume on retry. Netflix OK.

Ive had zero issues with Prime.
