Radians SV55 Class 2 Heavy Woven Two Tone Engineer Vest with Padded Neck to Support Extra Weight in Cargo Pockets, Hi Viz Green or Hi Viz Orange

I've been wearing safety vests for 20+ years in my line of work. These are the very best I've seen, EVER!! Plenty of pen & pencil pockets. Plenty of pockets period!! iPad/tablet pocket in the back. The inside pockets have zippers to close them, as well as another pocket beside that one that supports closing it by Velcro and a strap. The one drawback to this vest is that it's somewhat heavy. Being that I work outside in Texas this matters to me. Summertime can be brutal, guys are always looking for the lightest possible safety gear. This doesn't fit in that category. Nonetheless, it's still a plus because of the pocket styles and variations. I really like the padding the vest has on the back of the neck, BRILLIANT!! Finally someone figured it out. When all your gear(gloves, notepads, safety glasses, pens, pencils, cellphone, etc, etc..) is in your vest it pulls or weighs down on the back of your neck. At times it even rashes or irritates the back of your neck. That's one reason I rate this vest with 5⭐.. It's not a vest for entire crews. It's a vest for Supervisors or Superintendents.. I don't really see it being an engineer's vest, but if that's how it's described, so be it. I'll be buying another one when this one wears out. I'll include more on durability in my review after I buy the next one..

I bought this because I use my iPad a lot in the field for documenting my work. The vest my company provides is thin and cheap compared to this vest. I have pockets for my iPad, plans, a radio, a water bottle, etc. The zippers and pockets are sturdy and are holding up well to hard use.I recommended this vest to a coworker who also purchased one. I would recommend this vest to anyone who works in construction or related fields and who is always "in the ground" using survey or related tools.

Extremely good work vest,huge pockets!Exactly what I needed for what I do since I do general labor and need to be prepared for anything I'm asked to do.I got the XL,I'm thin but tall and normally wear medium size, its big on me but it leaves enough room for padded/insulated gear to be worn under the vest.So its still the right size for me.I'd reccomend going 2 sizes up for your needs.

The weight and grip of the collar is very noticeable. I hope it gets more comfortable after I wear it for awhile. Spending time messing with the fasteners for a custom fit helps a lot, but it feels like a bothersome shirt tag. Won't be an issue in the winter but I definitely am feeling it in the summer. The reflective tape is good and I do feel safe and seen so I am not too upset about it honestly, but your mileage may vary.

The orange looks like it’s battery powered, vest very reflective at night, heavy duty construction and zipper. I bought extra large to go over my large Carharrt winter coat. Was perfect for that. Summer might be kind of heavy? For my use it’s perfect. Love the padded collar.

it’s heavier than normal vests and has a lot of big pockets for radios, phones, pens, small notebooks etc.very good quality though and will definitely last.Good for someone who needs extra storage you definitely won’t need to carry anything in your hand.

I'm a pocket nut and there is no shortage of pockets. But dued to weight and material, I can't wear this vest dued to overheating at my current job. As the weather cools off, I should be able to start using it again. Fit is larger than you would expect, you may want to order down. I managed to snag a "used" one for $23 in the original package.

The stitching on the vest is not worth a damn I had my last name embroidered on it and used it in the field for a month before the top right pocket stitching opened up by the second month the zipper stitching opened up I was thinking about having it re-stitched with stronger thread but instead I’m just gonna buy another vest
