EccotempL10 Portable Water Heater w/Shower Set

I built an outdoor shower house near the swimming hole. I bought this to put in the shower house. It worked exactly 4 showers, then quit. We called customer service. They said "probably batteries. The batteries we include are awful." Ok...either dont ship awful batteries, and put "batteries not included" on the box, or raise the price $5.00 and put top quality batteries in the box. Either option would be fine. We replaced the batteries. No dice. Called them back. They said "probably the regulator, we will ship you another one." Well, this was purchased in preparation for a party at the swimming hole to keep kids from tracking mud into the house. I called my nephew who is a HVAC tech, and he put a regulator from a gas grill on it to get it working for the party. Now that it's working, it works well, and it's made in America. I'm happy with it, except that the hose from the shower head is all marred up when it arrived. It works, so I'll live with it. Eccotemp needs to get their act together on the accessories and have some Anerican pride in an American productUPDATE: after 4 months the shower hose ruptured in the night, the shower ran all night long, used up a huge amount of water and propane, and made a big mess. The heater itself works fine, but do yourself a favor and just trash all the crappy accessories. They are nothing but a big headache.

This is the 2nd one I've bought, first froze and busted my fault.Second just quit working, both shower hoses busted!

It doesn’t work like expected at all. I have called for help and feel like I’m getting the run around. Not happy at all and I feel like I’m stuck with an expensive mistake. It arrived damaged and when I told customer service about it they didn’t seem to care. Also when I called for trouble shooting their advice caused further damage.

This product is absolute garbage.I experienced the “warmth” of anger while dealing with the mental “thickness” that built this defective garbage.... the “sheer” frustration is overwhelming.. the only person happy in this transaction is the person in china cashing the checks.

The shower head is terrible! It sticks and cannot easily be turned off or on.

We bought this unit to use as an outdoor shower while working on land we own. The D batteries where dead when we received the unit is the only negative.

How hot is the vent ? I have a wood ceiling about 4” above the vent with a granite tile in between for insulation- will this be ok or should I vent up thru the roof with metal -bestos piping ?

After 6 years of everyday use it sprung a leak in the heater core, but it still worked. A minor leak developed and could not be fixed, so I bought it again. Good unit for the money.

Using on dock. Easy set up. Even included batteries and adapters for hose connections.Very satisfied.

One of the fittings fail apart on install.
