These seem very sturdy. We like the heavy duty traction and the front bumper. They seemed comfortable to our grandson right away.

We bought these for my son just before a trip overseas last summer. 5 months later they are still in good condition. He wears these almost all day and as a toddler is hard on his feet. I usually try to spend the least amount of money on his shoes as possible since they outgrow them so quickly, but this was money well spent. Will buy him another pair when he outgrows these.

My 4 year old son broke these in at Cathedral Wash trail. Normal trail with a decent amount of climbing involved. Made it the whole way by himself without a single complaint on the shoes, he loved them!

These might be comfortable to wear but they definitely did not stand up to even the lightest hiking adventure. I do not feel that these were even the slightest water resistant, my son's feet were soaked after some light rain and tiny water puddles. These boots also began fraying after the first day of hiking and the stitching continued to come out even with light use. Disappointed, but I know you do usually get what you pay for!

Love these shoes, many cute styles. However, I have ordered 4 different times and only once did they get the size right. Therefore, I have kept most of them so the child can grow into them
