SOG Gets It Right with This Daily Pack
I have had this bag for a few months now and have been incredibly impressed. Every time that I think to myself "Hey I wish this bag had this certain feature", it has that feature. There has not been a time where I would have wanted anything different from this bag. It carries a great name and with that name comes a reputation for high build quality and SOG delivers. I use this bag as a daily carry for school and for any other purpose that I have in my day to day life. The back pocket is a great for any 15" or smaller laptop, SOG says that you can run a hydration pack in that compartment but I have found that to be untrue. I have tried to run hydration in that pocket and even with just a 2-liter pack it does not fit in the back. The quad zip entry to the back compartment is incredibly handy. The main compartment has ample room and has a pocket specifically for keys that I use all the time, I have a lot of keys on my key chain and the pocket fits them just fine. The mesh pocket in the main area is really handy for keeping a pair of gloves in your pack. There is also 1 large sleeve, AR-15 magazine compatible, 3 medium sleeves, about half the size of the large, and 2 small sleeves, again about half the size of the medium. There is a zippered pouch that I use to keep all of my extra patches in, it is a very slim pouch so I wouldn't keep anything in it much thicker than a large wallet. There is also an open topped sleeve that the previously mentioned sleeves are stitched on to. The hardened sunglasses/ admin area on the top of the bag is very handy. I keep a pair of sunglasses in there almost all of the time, there's 1 large sleeve and 3 medium sleeves in there made out of fleece and elastic. These are great for keeping pens or a small knife and the larger sleeve is perfect for keeping a tin of Altoids or a similarly sized item. The two front pockets are great and SOG made a great decision in separating the two pockets. The slight tightness of the pockets keeps all of your gear in place. I keep my Seal Pup, a flashlight, and a multitool in the right pocket and in the left I keep the power supply for my Surface Pro 3, my Bluetooth mouse, and a few flash drives. The Hypalon Molle field is incredibly good looking and functions just like any normal Molle field. The two carabiner mounting strips that sit next to the Molle field are great and have a really durable feel to them. There is a standard Molle field on the bottom of the pack, I would assume the only time I would use that field would be if I took the bag backpacking or hiking where I wouldn't set the bag down for a long period of time. The straps are incredibly comfortable and stay comfortable even for long periods of time. The straps have two more carabiner mounting strips, each with 5 mounting points. Each has a single small D-ring for various mounting purposes. There are also two small Hypalon strips with three small holes that SOG says is for running a small cord through if you needed to tie something to the bag. The adjustable chest strap is very comfortable but does tend to loosen over time if you are being active while wearing the pack. The buckle on the strap has a very positive sound when engaged all the way. The integrated whistle is extremely loud and I have no doubt that if I needed to alert a rescue team that the whistle would get the job done. All of the zipper pulls are incredibly easy to use and I wish that all of my packs had them. All in all, this is an incredible daily pack that has great usability but also blends in an urban environment. I highly recommend this bag to anyone who needs a good daily pack and wants incredible quality and durability.

Good looks good organization
I watched A LOT of YouTube videos and basically did a TON of research before choosing this bag. I think there’s still yet more searching I could have done and I probably only scratched the surface. My point is, I really like the look of this bag. I care from a Drago tactical-Maxpedition-looking bag and I was trying to find something that was more slim and trim and had less “danglies” (if you will). I didn’t mind having something slightly tactical looking but not overkill. So, aside from the looks, what sold me on this bag was the organization. It’s simple but works really well for my needs. I also REALLY liked having a spot I could put my sunglasses. I keep sunglasses with me ALL the time and when I’m inside or it’s nighttime it’s very nice to have a spot to stow them without having to carry a case to stow in the bag. I also was really fond of the bag zippered compartment where I could stow my laptop.

Nicely Designed and Built. Check laptop dimensions.
Received this product yesterday. My goal was to downsize the pack I've been carrying my laptop, mini office and EDC stuff. This pack almost certainly will do so. Amazon's price for this product is going to be hard to beat. However if paying full price off SOG's website - they have discounts and at the time free flashlight offer that was appealing. The organization ability of the pack is great. Downside: My Lenovo Y50-70 laptop (15.23" x 10.37" x 0.9") is just a little too wide to slide into the side loading compartment. It will fit in the main compartment and so I am contemplating over this weekend whether to send this back and look for for something similar but slightly larger on laptop compartment or keep it as it will do everything else I want. I will measure the actual zippered opening this weekend and update accordingly. Certainly I would suspect that 13" and 14" and certain 15" laptops will fit.

Good deal but has design problems
Great bag overall but has some design flaws. Zippers get tangled with each other and inside pocket in main compartment hangs open and has no velcro or any way of closing so when youre reaching in feeling for something while on the go you keep reaching into the pocket and not the main compartment. Not what you need in a hostile situation

Perfect compromise between function and form!
I really wanted a bag that had the features usually found in tactical bags (ie Maxpedition), without the paramilitary look. Sog nailed the compromise between function and form for me. The bag is extremely comfortable and the unique pocket designs really work great. The only thing I wasn't big on were the zipper pulls, the big loops would get tangled inside of each other. Not a big issue, I just replaced them with some grey shock cord and it's now my version of perfect. This is a great bag and is working perfectly for what I need it to do. It shipped quickly and showed up in perfect condition from This Is My Status. I'm extremely happy overall.

Amazing bag! Just as described and reviewed
Amazing bag! Just as described and reviewed. Great quality! Great zippers! Comfort! Everything is amazing. The ONE thing I wish it had, would be the main compartment's zipper to go longer, for a fuller open position, aka: clamshell. (But I was fully aware of that when I bought it) In my opinion, the perfect EDC bag size. I carry EDC items, and "regular " items in this daily. More than most, but not crazy. A great bag! Very happy.

Very nice
Pockets are great. Size is WONDERFUL. Fit is great allowing easy access to protective equipment. *NOTE: Bag is 20" tall, however the side access pocket is slightly smaller... For example a CZ Evo3 fits AMAZINGLY in there, until you put the folding/collapsible arm brace on and add the extra 2" WARNING: Zipper pulls are sharp... I literally cut my finger on the zipper pull before I even removed the tags, wedge section where string is tied.

Honestly 100% worth the money. Extent comfort and it swallowed everything I need in by day to day life as a trades men. The only things that I’ve found Wrong was one of my zippers has a weird wobble in it that seems to hang up every now and than but with that being my only problem I’m still very impressed!

Looks great but functionality could be better for the price. The hard shell is a good idea but you put sunglasses in it you can’t have anything else in the rest of the section. Sounds weird but if you have this bag you know what I am talking about. Other than that (and the price) I really like this bag.

Lots of great storage and good quality. Watch the video on the SOG website for this pack as it is everything they say it is and does. Only thing is it is not grey, hardcover color is grey, but pack more like a greeny blue-grey, weird color. Could use side Molle as well as a waste of space.
