Great sound
New hi hat cymbals and they are sure making the house sound full of good music! Well made and easy to put together, the sound is crisp and clear and the drumsticks bounce nice of the cymbals too, great gift from my wife!

Greatest hi hats ever made.
Zildjian New Beats are simply the best. There's a difference between 13" and the larger 14" and 15". The 13" version seems to have a thinner bottom cymbal which makes it more washy in comparison to the 14 and 15. The sound when closed is similar between them, but the larger sizes seem to have much thicker bottom cymbals. This gives the larger sizes a bit more sizzle when playing open...which I prefer. All are great depending on taste.

Light & Crisp
I'm loving these hi-hats! Over the past month I've been using them for studio recording and both indoor and outdoor live shows . I have always played 14" hats, but I'm sold on the sounds I'm getting out of these 13's. I have them paired with the Zildjian Sweet Ride. The three things about the New Beat Hi-Hats that are drawing me in are the crispness when closed, the rock/driving sound I get when slightly open, and the action when hit open then closed with the foot. Everything is light & crisp!

The re-designed A line is amazing. I bought 14" New Beats and played them ...
Zildjian A's are back!! The re-designed A line is amazing. I bought 14" New Beats and played them for the first time at a gig. I am in love....yes...in love. Sweet sounding Hihats. Open, Closed, Hard, soft...whatever you throw at it...it delivers a great tone. I am in a Classic Rock/Blues band and this is perfect.... so versatile. I can't wait to try it out in other situations. Put it this way...I am selling my Paiste 2002's, and buying more A's. Just got a 18" Crash/Ride. You won't be disappointed!!

Zildjian hi hats
I've been wanting some 14 inch hi hats for the longest because before then i was using some 13 inch new beat hi hats but I don't like 13 inch hi hats so i was on a search for some 14s. My friend had a pair of 14 inch new beat hi hats that he let me hold on to for a while but after he wanted them back that's when i made my move to get these. The thing I love about these hats is that they're tight and crisp in sound which works for type of music i play. My favorite hi hats!!!!

Heard around the world!
The hi-hats heard around the world!!! Some of the best music ever recorded was used using these hi-hats! Great crash open and an awesome "chick" sound!!! Worth the money! I have 2 sets of these cymbals. One set for gigging out and one for my studio set! You won't be dis-appointed with these hats!!!

I'm just learning and this was my first hi=hat cymbal purchase. They sound great (with my limited experience) and these are versatile, and worth considering as a next good upgrade. I will say these have alot of sustain, to which I'm not too great at coping with that at my skill level. But, these good sound professionally pretty to the ears.

Damaged and stained
Gouges/scratches and stains on the cymbals. Disheartening for a $500 purchase of a "new" item. I'll be returning them.
