Progressive International BCC-4 Collapsible Party Carrier

If you take pies to places other than your kitchen table, you'll want this. It easily holds two pies, the locks are sturdy, and it's easy to store as it is collapsible. This is the second one I've purchased, which was for a baker friend of mine.

I purchased this pie carrier on a recommendation from America's Test Kitchen to safely transport my first Pennsylvania Dutch Apple Pie to the lake house for Labor Day weekend. Worked perfectly! The non-skid gripper rings in the bottom kept everything intact for the trip and preserved the contents beautifully. I like that this also functions as a carrier for 28 deviled egg halves. The lid is high enough to accommodate either two regular pies or one high profile one (such as lemon merengue) but also collapses down for efficient storage. Well thought-out design!

This pricey carrier is a great concept, however, the plastic latches (of which there are three) can get dislodged and can go misssing and without all three, the carrier is basically useless. I have emailed Progressive Int’l to see if they offer replacement parts - which IMHO, they should as the latches dislodge so easily from the carrier. We will see! UPDATE: They replaced the latches for free after I emailed them a picture of my carrier along with my mailing address and phone number - yay!

I am the hit of every party when I show up with this. I use it for cakes, pies, cupcakes, deviled eggs. It's great! It would have been a 5 star review except that I dropped the top and two of the clip broke. I'm hoping I can get replacements.

This product works great. I often take a quiche or pie in a 9 inch pie plate plus cupcakes or deviled eggs to various family celebrations and work potlucks. I purchased this to make it easier to transport this food and keep things more compact. I had no issues with the clips, but was careful to be sure that they were latched properly. With the pie plate and food, It can be heavy, but my husband thought it was easy to carry by the handle. We have had no issues thus far. I like that it can be broken down to be a bit smaller. This wasn't a key feature for me, but it's nice to have. I highly recommend especially if you want a product that will specifically handle a pie/quiche and something else!

I use this to carry fruit and pecan pies to events. I make 9" pies, and I can fit both pies in the carrier, as advertised, and they don't slide around when I'm driving. (However, if you're only carrying one pie in the bottom layer, it has more wiggle room and could move a little.) The bottom of the carrier has a raised no slip ring, which helps since the bottom of the carrier is a little larger than a 9" pie plate. The domed top gives enough room for two double crust pies, or perhaps one double crust pie and one meringue pie. The latches on the side feel very secure and snap audibly into place. I don't rely on the handle, preferring the security of carrying it from the bottom due to the weight (pyrex pie dishes loaded up with rhubarb pie are actually pretty heavy), but the handle didn't actually feel like it was going to snap or give out.Update: Still holding up beautifully as of July 2016. Bonus feature: If you're only transporting one pie, you can leave the cover in its collapsed position so it takes up less room.

Really like this carrier it works great. I used this to transport 2 pies. I like that it folds down to half the size to allow for easier storage. The pies stayed in place during transport and were easy to carry. It was also convenient to just stick the whole carrier in the fridge as it took up less space to store the pies that way instead of separately on shelves. Definitely recommend.
