BE CAREFUL. Omni Filters are fantastic so I'm giving the product a 5 star rating. However, it seems if you have an older canister the new CB3 size is too large for the canister. I think someone over at Omni needs to re evaluate size codes. I always keep the labels from filter cartridges because they all have this crazy obsession with constant upgrades and it seems that from year to year the filter you bought is now an orphan product but I digress... the labels on the two carts are identical... CB3 carbon block... but the new item is too wide for the canister. If you have an older Omni canister check the size before you remove the plastic wrap!

After I got food poisoning from a contaminated water tank in my RV, I had to rethink my whole filtration strategy. Firstly, I had used it for 2 seasons of camping, and replacing it was way overdue. But it worked fine, do you really need to replace it?I researched and learned a bit more about these filters. Pentair makes various different ones, and among the carbon block filters, there is the CB1 (their basic filter) and the CB3 (a more advanced filter, that removes more impurities.) I bought the CB3, because it removes lead, cysts and viruses.I also learned that these filters do remove germs, but if they are not sanitized, bacteria can grow on them just the same, in which case the filter would actually add more germs and contaminate otherwise clean water. In an RV, sanitizing the water system is critical, and that includes the filter media. Running bleach water through the whole system, including the filters, will sanitize them pretty well, but without that, you might as well fill your filter with motor oil.I also learned how filters change in their efficacy over time. In the beginning, they filter everything, but slowly, filtration deteriorates. After 12 months, you might still be able to filter chrlorine, but you might have already lost the ability to filter germs and viruses. THe solution is to change the filter on the recommended schedule, which for the CB3 is 6 months. I could extend that a bit, say if I didn't use it much, but I would still sanitize the whole system with bleach, which will improve the effectiveness of the filter overall.Lastly, I should NOT expect a filter to remove germs, but rather, I should start by putting clean water into a properly sanitized water system. That is, this filter will improve the taste of water, and will remove some impurities, but I should not expect it to clean-up contaminated water.This filter is recommended.

This filter is series B and fits perfectly in my OMNIfilter OT32, I've bought the remainder of the stock hope there the same.

I was frustrated as I waited for days for these items to come, and turned out it doesn't work !!!Then I looked closely at the comments and realized many ppl have the same issues, so the dealer is too lazy to even bother to update the description to make sure their customers do not suffer these cycle !!!!so nobody deserves a 1 star than you.
