The Trouble With Love: An Age Gap Romance (The Forbidden Love Series Book 1)

The book starts off incredibly slowly…it finally picks up about half way through, and the second half is very good. Then I came to the dreaded words, “To Be Continued.” The worst. Having said that, however, the characters are great, the angst and romance are real, and I look forward to the next (hopefully final) book in the story. I do recommend an editor and proofreader as there are quite a few mistakes with grammar. It also needs to be said that it’s Johns Hopkins, not John Hopkins. A knowledgeable editor would help with those sorts of mistakes.

Wow, just wow. Kat did it again! I’ve been patiently waiting for Will & Amelia’s story since the moment I finished their parents’ & learned there would be one for the kids! And this, I know it’s only the beginning, but this book alone delivered! You won’t be disappointed! I read what Amelia said about her parents love story — ‘it is one to rival Romeo & Juliet’, but I have to say, hers & Will’s love story is one to definitely rival her parents’ (the great Lex & Charlotte)! I love that we get to still get a glimpse of the characters from the dark love series & also get a pov from Lex. I don’t know if I can wait this long for the next book, but I’m so excited for the whirlwind I’m sure it’ll bring! Bring on the trouble with us, I’m getting anxious here lmfaoo

When I saw Lex’s daughter has her book I immediately got it!Kat didn’t disappoint at all!I loved the chemistry between Will and Amelia,that pull that cannot be ignored. What stared off as friends grew to a secret love between the 2. Amelia & Will were made for each other!I am not a lover of duets but with Kat I don’t mind reading it at all,the book kept me captivated from start to finish with a massive hangover and craving book 2.Well done on yet another excellent read Kat!

Oh my goodness! I am completely in love with Amelia and Will - their love is epic and is written beautifully. It’s heartbreaking and tragic and perfect! I could not put this book down and now I have to rush to read the continuation of their story because If it’s anything like their beginning it’s going to be an amazing finale. ❤️❤️❤️

This ends on a Cliffhanger but is worth it. I read the first series to this new one about her parents and Amelia story is just as amazing. Ready to find out what happens with Amelia and Will next that Lex Edwards her dad has pushed every button to separate them put of love for his oldest daughter. What was supposed to be a family live turns into a love so strong it causes the lovers to hide their feelings. Will and Amelia have that live but it's just that the timing is off. Lex should think of what happened with Charlie and him and be forgiving not cause trouble.

Don’t start this book before you leave for work, or you will be late! The book was so good, and I especially loved how it featured tied in the second generation characters from the Chasing series! The end of May seems like a long time to wait and find out what happens next!

Forbidden Romantic Fiction is one of my favourite genres to read and I devoured this story. I was deeply entwined in the love affair of 19 year old Amelia and 30 year old Will who have known each other since childhood due to the close knit bond between their parents. they haven't seen each other for a few years so when they eventually meet again there is instant attraction on both sides they try to fight it because of their family connection but give in to the passionate attraction between them and so a secret affair begins. can't wait to read the sequel.

I was sold at age gap/forbidden and dived straight into this read. It was addictive and I could not read the pages quick enough. I’m not afraid to admit I couldn’t put it down and devoured it in one sitting and do not regret the 4am finish!Amelia is moving away from her close-knit family in LA and heading to Yale, to study law, something she is happy about as her dad is always in control of her and she sees this as a way to finally be herself.She has family over in New York and is encouraged to visit, Will, who she hasn’t seen in years. He’s 10 years her senior and he’s always seen her as the annoying little girl from when his family would visit in the summers when he was younger.When they meet again, interest is there from both parties, but know nothing good can come of it as Will is seen as her cousin (they aren’t blood-related) and is her fathers business partner who is about to heavily invest in Will’s business that will see him become a billionaire. But when jealous Will rears his head, things start to change and nothing can stop the inevitable.When they got together, their need for each other was insatiable. As they grew more into their feelings for each other, I was swept away with them and felt their pain with having to keep their secret.I loved Will and how sure he was about Amelia from the beginning. His jealousy and tracking her down were some of my favourite moments.Amelia was still heavily controlled by her dad and I wanted her to defend herself more, however, I think her growth is about to shine in book two. Although, with the last few chapters I think we have a little heartbreak before we get there.This story has the right amount of angst, first with waiting for them to get together and then waiting to see if their secret affair would be found out.This is the first book by this author for me and I loved it. This is book one and ends on a cliffhanger and I’m away to download book two, The Trouble With Us, for their conclusion.

what a beautiful slow burning love affair that has you gripped from the start to the end. I loved the way this book flowed.Will and Amelia have known each others since they were children, even though Will was ten years older than her, but when they meet when she has graduated to Yale, and he sees her as the young woman she has become, everything changes.Will and Amelia secretly fall in love and are happy, until Lex her father finds out and sends will away, what will happen next, I cant wait to find out in the next book.

An excellent beginning from a duet, this story had me sucked in and hooked from really early on. I love, love, loved the chemistry and more between Will and Millie. The sparks, banter and tension were perfect for me. An age-gap secret romance that was bound to end in disaster, pain and on a cliffhanger... I cannot wait to read the concluding book.I thought The Trouble With Love was an engaging, entertaining and absorbing page-turner. A perfect summer read.

My first read from Kat and i have completely devoured this in less than 24hours! Will and Amelias story captivated me. The excitement, the heat , the growth of love between them and the risks and forbidden, it has it all and consumed me.I read the last couple of chapters with my own heart been torn out and heavy tears fell fast. Now i mm left with my stomach in knots and an urgency of need for the next book….
