Still giving it 5 stars because the axe is awesome except for the weight issue. The thing weighs as much as a cast iron skillet. I got it for hiking and I didn't consider the weight when I bought it. The metal in the handle is hollow but overly thick in my opinion, but the plus side to that is that it's extra tough and durable, you could definitely use the handle as a pry bar or a breaker bar, or a self defense weapon. I can't take it hiking because it takes up almost 30% of the 30lb weight limit we have. But...... The axe head is removable and another lighter weight handle can be attached if you're fabricator.

If your just looking for a pretty and functional axe it would be fine. But the knife is not really usable since it cannot screw into any part solidly. The only place it could reasonable fit you can push in 3/4 of the way before the threads start to catch, and then it is very easy to strip them because the threads on the knife are some sort of plastic (definately not metal). The compass is pretty much useless. The whistle is pretty small and hard to use. My son had a hard time getting his lips on without covering up the hole and could not get it very loud.
