This perlite is just perfect. It has some nice chunky pieces and some smaller pieces too. No dust when I poured more than half of the bag out into another container.

I bought this to mix in my compost pile. It seems to be making the soil easier to work with. It will be interesting to see if it lightens up the soil for the gardens next year. The exact perlite at Lowe’s and Home Depot is $10 more.

The media could not be loaded. This product was pretty impressive. Is not easy to crush and will not break down. You get much more of a quantity compared to other 30 quart bags along with this being course. If you wanted to save some extra money you could get this and crush it down smaller. If you needed it will last even longer. Regardless, I think it's a fantastic product and I'm happy with my especially for the price

These are good size chunks of perlite and I did the quarter test as comparison. 4 star because while the big chunks are about the same as the stock photo there is more variability in the actual size of the product and I suspect the smaller chunks will fall to the bottom of the bag leaving the dust that some people reviewed.

I am an avid houseplant collector and with 150+ plants, I have started mixing my own soil according to the type of plant I’m repotting. The previous perlite I had ordered was too small but I ended up using it for plants with more delicate roots. This size I mix with sphagnum moss when I am propagating to allow adequate air flow to the roots. Love it! I find myself using this perlite more often than any other I’ve ordered. Just the right size for what I need! I may order a second bag soon so I don’t run out.

This is really good perlite! I have bought some that was too small and dusty. It just didn’t do the job, but this is a nice sized bag, a good price and a great product!Highly recommend!

Bought this to mix in for my houseplants. It is a huge bag and I have enough now to make multiple batches of soil. This is bigger than the stuff you get at Home Depot or Lowe’s and is perfect for my needs and those of my plants. When it’s time to buy more will definitely be buying this again.
