Petals For Armor [VINYL]

OK - unlike some reviewers - I am not a Paramore fan particularly. I was however intrigued when this album was highly praised in the media including a weekly magazine I read. I streamed it over Spotify and found I was repeat playing it. That was enough to want to have it on Vinyl. You'll find reviews on NME etc and according to them this was originally released as 3 EPs which might explain the 3 parts and the way the vinyl album has been manufactured... RollingStone calls it a "trilogy of 5 songs each"The vinyl is standard weight (150g approx) 33 1/3 rpm. It is flat (as it should be), cleanly pressed and plays well. No complaints, no returns or replacements. Oddly it is 3 sides. Side 4 is blank vinyl. It could have been made a 45 rpm set over 4 sides (as the new Haim album). The disks are housed in plain paper sleeves and the outer gatefold sleeve is a bit tight making it hard to get disks back in. A separate photo and credits sheet is provided as an insert. There are no lyrics. I would have preferred lyrics on the cover or inner sleeves as I don't want to go on-line to find them.The downer is that there is no download voucher which almost merits removing a star. Fortunately it does come with Amazon's autorip if you don't subscribe to a streaming service. You could argue this is a pretty pricey album for 3 sides and no complimentary CD, no 320 bit/s mp3 download voucher or Wave file download.I won't take off a star for my niggles - this music is a welcome addition to the sounds of 2020 and the all important vinyl is good quality.

Bought this for my partner as she has always been a huge Paramore/Hayley fan. To say she was ecstatic is an understatement. Very differenusic than what you might expect but very enjoyable and powerful lyrics. Perfect to throw on while cleaning or just relaxing!

Da collezionista, segnalo che Amazon spedisce i vinili con più accortezza che i CD, che con i jewel case, sarebbero potuti essere soggetti a micro rotture, ma lo capisco, e infatti non segnalo mai ad Amazon la cosa perché è un problema comune a tutti i negozi non specializzati, per i vinili invece nulla da eccepire. Il packaging è a livello. Il disco? Oramai lei quasi la preferisco al di fuori della sua band, che pure ha avuto una evoluzione che apprezzo. Sono fan del genere originale della band ma da "bassista" amatoriale non posso non gradire l'evoluzione che la sua band, prima, e lei poi hanno preso.

Lo compre para regalárselo a mi novio. Es su artista favorita y nosotros no podíamos vernos debido a la pandemia. Amazon nos acerco un poquito con el excelente servicio y obvio que a él le encantó el vinilo.

Si eres fan de Paramore este álbum de Hayley es imperdible. Contiene 2 discos, pero las 15 canciones caben en solo 3 lados; así que el lado B del disco 2 está vacío. Hay que poner atención a la hora de colocarlo en la tornamesa. Excelente compra.
