Some proper corkers
Tye first collection was okay, but this second one has some proper corkers. It's an anthology, so obviously a few misses, but I think more hits than misfires.

Excellent Folk Horror
After reading the first The Fiends in the Furrows, I sincerely hoped that Nosetouch Press would compile another anthology of folk horror, and I'm so pleased they did! I waited all summer for it to be published, and it was well worth waiting for. Every story is both eerie and wonderful. I very much hope there will be a third edition soon. An exceptionally worthy read!

Incredible!
I got this because I'm a huge fan of Coy Hall. Hour Of The Cats Eye just blew me away. Set in the 1600's, Tristram Carew wakes up in a strange wagon on a dirt road paralyzed after a battle among empires. Strange figures in the dark, vulnerable, afraid he's kidnapped by war rats. Waiting for Groza or someone to help him. This story was just what I needed to lift my spirits with. Beautifully written, dramatic, scary, very engaging. My favorite parts were when Trisram was staring down the cat figure in the wagon in the dark. Liliana with her mysterious and Rowland desecrating Tristrams armor. This brought me much joy. Highly recommend!

Not good at all. In fact, just terrible.
This is just awful. There is one story that is fantastic, and the rest are boring and nonsensical. I rarely throw books in the trash, but this one live in the landfill, where it belongs.

Folk horror fest
A splendid collection to guarantee days of brooding and rumination after you read each story. Great authors, almost no weak stories. Strong great stuff.
