Are the tools dishwasher safe?

You could put the plastic pieces in the dishwasher. I do. And since the knife/blade parts come out (for easy exchange) I wash those by hand and let them air dry. I feel it will let them last longer. I like this set.

how do you change the blades?

Hold the orange grip tight with one hand and turn the black grip with the other hand. This will loosen the blade holder, slide the blade out and slide new blade in and tighten.You can email us at help@360pumpkinproducts.com if you need further help.

Can these tools also be used for carving faux pumpkins?

Don't really know what faux pumpkins are but if they are made from styrofoam or something soft like that, maybe. but they are only strong enough to cut through a soft skin of a plant. These are great pumpking carving tools. If you want to cut through plastic or something harder, I would suggest a dremel.

Mine did not come with an instruction book. Will everything in the book be online?
