Can it work on jean buttons?

Yes, but I wouldn’t try it if the button has to be pulled together too hard. In other words, if you’re pulling on the button the device could break. It’s a thin wire. Works best with right handed people. We love it.

Can this be used on boot zippers?

It appears to be able to work on boot zippers. While I have never tried it. If the zipper pull tab has a hole in it, it should work.

Can this be used on wedding dress buttons? My dress has buttons and string loops do you think this would still work for something like that?
