This is a great set, great price, and it’s very sturdy, but a bit time consuming to put it together, especially the drawer stand. But I have figured out how to put it together using YouTube videos and taking my time to really study the instructions. If you take the time and read the instructions and look at the detail, it is clear and concise. It’s just taking me a while to get it done as I take time to research how to do it as I go, so I don’t have to take anything apart. I am putting it together by myself, but there are certain parts that a second person helping would have made it easier, like putting the backside onto the desk part. I am a retired female so if I can do it, anyone can do it lol

This desk is a like a kit. You put it together. It comes with instructions which we did not find difficult to follow. It was well packaged with great corner protectors and arrived with no shipping damage. I worried about the top being in more than one piece, butthe adjoining pieces do not interfere with aesthetics or functionality of the desk. We did an inventory of parts and pieces as was suggested. It took about 4 hours to assemble the filing cabinet and 3 hours to assemble the desk. I found this desk to be a good size for home use, functional and far more attractive than anything I could find locally. And the price is reasonable. Note that the filing drawer is small as is the drawer for pencils and supplies. Also, one cannot add a center drawer as the frame prevents that. I agonized over purchasing such a large item online. And I admit that sometimes negative reviews do influence me. But I'm happy with this purchase and do not hesitate to recommend it.

Desk set comes in pieces but if you take your time and follow their instructions , it will take one person about 3-4 hours to assemble with hand tools only. The wood is particle board , so must use hand tools and carefully else you may damage board. Instructions are very good and highly recommend you read them carefully. Once together , the desk is very study to my surprise with metal framing and looks very nice . The other small piece is good but don’t move around too much on carpet. Overall it’s a nice value and once built don’t move it much … will not hold up to bumps, shifts and pressure that well. If you build in place where it will be it’s perfect for a low cost solution. Recommend for DIY person .

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Viewed SEVERAL other desks and always came back to this one, so glad I did as I love it. Easy Assembly, comfortable to sit at, has a lot of room and love the shelve underneath. Very attractive looking and at a great price!

The one star is not for the desk itself, it’s for the mislabeling of all of the parts for the cabinet. The desk went together nicely and all parts were included. I like it and it seems sturdy.The file cabinet that came in a separate box was a nightmare. At first I thought there were 5 missing pieces, but it turned out that all of the parts and hardware were mislabeled. Also, there were pieces included that weren’t in the manual or list of parts. It would appear that they changed the parts but didn’t send an updated manual. My brother (engineer type) was able to “wing” it and put it together, but most people would not have been able to. Now that it’s together, the cabinet itself is nice. Again, the one star isn’t for the desk and cabinet but for the mislabeling of parts and instruction manual.

I went back and forth on desk options. I’m very pleased with my decision. The quality and instructions were very good. It’s a lot of pieces but have patience….it really wasn’t bad. I recommend an electric screwdriver to help speed things up. This should work for good while. The desk is a great size and the storage is good.

I absolutely love this desk. It is VERY heavy and sturdy and will be around many years as part of my home office. You will need a lot of room for it as it is quite large. The quality of the wood is great. It is beautiful. I had purchased another desk from a reputable furniture store that was more than double the price. It was made out of plywood and the wood split and desk fell apart. This one here will not do that. Just buy it if you are on the fence. I am so happy with my purchase.

This desk is well designed and sturdy and is a practical solution for storage, and it looks exactly as pictured. HOWEVER it does not have good assembly instructions and the way it is written , or should I say not written...there are pictures, few words , if any and a complete lack of useful ones...as in right, left, top, bottom, etc. To begin with, you have to attach the casters on the base of the storage unit and as I found to be the case in all the places that required screws , they sre not pre-drilled, there are marks where the screws should go, but this material is very hard to screw into...especially in some of the positions where the screws must be used..so the four caster markings did not match the hardware holes and thus it was hard to line up the screws and hard to screw them in. The limited directions and the lack of pre-drilled screw holes makes this much more difficult and time-consuming than it should have been. note: the last part of the drawers on the storage unit piece , what should been the easy part, installing the handles...was made more complicated because the screws that are packaged with the handles do not work, There are others in the box that do. Still, an annoying issue but is easily fixed once you figure it out.
