A Real Steal
Awesome product, I had no compatibility issues with it on Windows XP. Had mine nearly a year now. Some other users seem to be sketched out by the software it came with, but to be honest I cannot remember if I even used the CD that came with it. I think it actually was Plug 'N Play from the get-go. If I did need a driver, I think I downlaodedc it from the manufactuers website.I have no problems with it, recognized my PS2 controller as a "USB Joypad"...all buttons worked, and for $5 (w/ shipping) turned out to be a great buy and a lot of entertainment. Considering that used PS2 Dualshocks go for about the same price, and with them you know what to expect from the controller, I think this is a great way to play games on the cheap.Worked with anything I threw at it.One slight note is that it does seem like it might not withstand a whole lot o banging around or being stepped on. Not to say that it isn't durable, but just that I probably would avoid stepping on it. I always wrap mine up and put it back in the drawer when done playing.

Not worth the hassle!
Well, I suppose I should preface this by saying that while I DID read the reviews as I always do before purchasing something online I did NOT read far enough into it. Had I had done so I would never have purchased this. As soon as I received this I installed all the drivers on the included mini CD. I run Windows 7 x64 PRO by the way. The CD had no viruses, no issues. Once I went into the control panel hardware I saw that windows saw both controllers. I also could see the corresponding buttons being pressed for each controller within the configuration utility. Keep in mind you MUST PRESS THE ANALOG button to even get the adapter to see the PS2 controllers. Otherwise, I thought it was good to go. Pretty sweet, right? WRONG. Even though Windows appeared to see both controllers, and both appeared to be working, I could not get it to work with ANY PROGRAMS whatsoever. I tried xpadder and some other button configuration utilities and while I was able to see both controllers in each program it would not let me assign any buttons. I screwed with this crap for FOUR HOURS trying to get it to work and failed. Basically, it's like a button was stuck or maybe being repeatedly pressed and it would just spaz out and not let me assign any buttons. I don't know what the problem was but I don't care. What's the moral of the story? DO NOT BUY THIS. You would be better off spending that $10 on a taco bell meal and risking Hershey squirts! I just purchased two wireless xbox 360 controllers, which is what I should have done in the first place. Sure, it's almost $100 when shipping is done but you know what? NO BS and I guarantee that they will plug and play flawlessly. You get what you pay for truly stands in this case.

PS PS2 USB Dual Controller to PC Adapter Converter
Like others have said, this controller was not transparent blue, but came in a black color. I didn't mind, it actually looks better in black in my opinion. The converter works great, I plugged it into my Windows Vista laptop and it installed and began working right away. I noticed others had problems getting the analog sticks to work (I'm using a PS2 controller). At first I had the same problem, the Left and Right analog stick didn't register in the game controllers (located in control panel), neither did the L3 and R3 buttons. After 2 hours of fiddling around to see if I could find drivers or a keyboard-mouse-joystick remapping software, I noticed a mistake on my part, remember to TURN ON the "Analog button" between the two analog sticks. After I turned it on, everything was working like a charm. I'm using Xpadder to play Maplestory, it works great. If your using Windows Vista, you will notice that the joystick will work on the desktop, but when playing Maplestory, it does not work. You need to turn OFF 'User Account Control' (you can find that in 'control panel>user accounts') after you restart, it should work right away.Good Luck PC gamers!*Also* Product works with Windows XP (plug and play)

Works, but it depends on what you're using it for.
I've heald off this review for a while because I've been wanting to really feel this product out and compare it to like the ramphet technology adapter which is not available on amazon and is a special order adapter from Canada. But anyways.. the sole purpose of this buy was obviously to use a PS1/PS2 controller with my PC/MAC primarily because I am a streamer and I like to play guitar hero (clone hero pc version) And for those who are a CH player like myself this wouldn't be the one to recommend really. It DOES work but only with the first generation red octane GH1 controller. Not the GH2/3 white octanes. But also keep in mind that not all perimeters work as well. Like the whammy bar, tilt, will not work either. This product is best suited for users who want to use just a normal DUALSHOCK remote. Not fitted for really DDR or GH. So be aware. If you're a DDR player or CH go with the ramphet where you won't have issues what so ever and everything is compatible. In conclusion, this is an "Ok" buy.
