Many people think that this sealant tape is just like all other PTFE (Teflon) tape. It is not! This is a high density PTFE tape with low impurities specially designed for safe use on gases like natural gas, oxygen, liquid petroleum, etc and is thick to ensure a good seal. Many other PTFE tapes are not approved for use with such gases and chemicals due to there low density and manufacturing impurities - when low grade Teflon tapes are applied with gases like oxygen (and others) they can literally ignite when the pressure changes from turning a valve on or off. This is a genuine safety issue and if you want a good tight seal on anything, use tapes (like this one) that are high density, thick, and high quality.

Not as thick as some pink tape's i have used.Tho seems a bit tougher, and easyer to cover area. You get more per roll as well.Good stuff. Bought the 10 roll package.Will keep 3. Give the rest to my cusin's husband / a contractor.I most likly have, a life times supply.Tho if not, i know where to get more.😇

Having worked in the trades for 40 years, I love finding quality products. Try this pipe thread tape once, and you will never repurchase another brand. This thick and strong tape is helpful if you have damaged threads; it seals black iron pipe, galvanized, copper or brass gas lines, compressed air, PVC, or any plumbing joint. I recently used it on one of my rental properties where I installed all new plumbing and gas lines, and I installed two new swimming pool filter systems for customers and used this tape on every connection, and I had a perfect seal the first time. I can't say that when I have used other brands. Excellent product!

I had been tired of buying Teflon tape and not being able to tear it off and it just kinda melts into the thread I'm using it for. So I searched for very good and strong Teflon tape and came across (Liontape G701) the information said it worked on an assortment of pressures and fluids. This is the best Teflon tape I've ever used. It's strong it stays on the threads while threading pieces together. There is also a fair amount of it so throw away all your old Teflon tape and just use this if you want to get the job done the 1st time.

I use these on compressed air fittings and house plumbing jobs. The thick tape seals NPT threads faster than the thin stuff, and needs less wraps.Take care when using PTFE (Teflon), as it's been shown to act as a "forever chemical" once it gets in your body, affecting reproduction areas. Just wash your hands and make sure the ptfe tape is not coming into contact with the water itself. It's also bad if you get the ptfe too hot.
