I like to make travel vlogs and used a RODE VideoMic Pro on my Canon EOS M50 and realized that the camera only takes USB mini as the microphone input. Obviously, the RODE uses an aux cable output and would not work with the camera.Luckily I found this Onvian adapter. It is exactly as described and accepts the input of the RODE mic and plugs straight into the Mic connection port on the side of my EOS m50 camera.As far as I can tell, the cord does not wither the audio in any way. It sounds crystal clear and works very well for my needs.

Unfortunately I had to return this. It does work very well but the camera I bought it for did not. It fit and worked, but it does NOT turn off the GoPro internal mic. Instead, it adds sounds from additional microphones. After being disappointed that the GoPro internal mic was still active, I did some research and the only way to use an external mic ONLY on a GoPro is to buy THEIR $20 adapter. It has to do with the number of wires inside the cable. GoPro (from what I could find as of this date) does not have an option to turn off the internal mic without using their specific adapter.This will make a big difference if you are trying to get rid of wind noise by using an external mic. I used the Onvian cable while on the track in my car. I have a special mic that worked great with a different camera, but with this cable and the GoPro, I still got a lot of wind noise from the GoPro internal mic.After writing this review, I was contacted by Onvian. They offered to refund the purchase because it did not meet my needs. I'm upgrading my review because of their attentive customer service. Hopefully, there will be something to indicate that it will not turn off the GoPro internal mic so others don't have the same issue.

Be aware, PS3 does not support audio (game sounds) through USB, on the console or controller

Despite some of the reviews here, I went against my better judgement and ordered it. The adapter will not work on the Canon Rebel T5. The camera likely doesn't have software setup to allow it to work with any type of mic input.I left the feedback to let others know. The cord itself seems fine but I cannot for sure verify that it works as it is supposed to.

I bought a mic set with out realizing my camera didn't have the right plug, so this item saved me from having to return the mics and fid deferent ones. i am now able to use the mic set I bought for filming. works great I have had no issues in the last 3-4 months of using this product
