Great book for inspo and insight
I bought this to read on a week's holiday - and I'm still dipping into it. I know I'll be referring to it for year's to come. if you're looking for inspo and insight into the routines of well-known and not-so-well-known creative women, this is the perfect resource.

Helps Writers and Other Creators
I loved Mason Currey's first book, Daily Rituals, and this second does not disappoint. It's instructive for those who are writers, dancers, artists--anyone who creates new ideas for a living--to see the daily practices of people who have been successful over time at doing so. You realized that you must have practices that value your work, and at the same time these practices can be uniquely your own. The book is written for the attention span of modern-day readers, as a series of short vignettes about different creators.

LOVED this book
This book give limited but excellent information on a large variety of artists. Just enough to make you curious, in which case you can then research more more in depth on an artist that may have caught your attention. For me, Janet Frame, who I had never heard of. In the chapter on her, it mentioned a documentary that had been done. I put the doc on my Netflix list, after watching the documentary...I was even more intrigued and just ordered a book by Fame. Definitely a book worth getting
