The Sambo Encyclopedia

I read the introduction, and a helpful Chapter titled Essentials. Well written, the author preserves the uniqueness of the material, without sacrificing it's accessibility. Basically, it's a Russian Style written for English readers. The pictures are detailed, thorough, and step by step. I now know; 1) The definition of sambo 2) It's historical context and 3) An Appreciation of the tremendous athleticism it commands. A must have for any serious martial arts library.

Lots of pictures to view technique. But would have been excellent if it was colored. Delivery was fast.

Packaging was not wonderful. Came damaged in shipping.
