Disappointing
I like David Pawson, but this book was a disappointment. He goes beyond the written word. For example He spends a lot of time on the wind when the Holy Spirit descended in chapter 2 when the Bible doesn't mention any wind. When The Holy Spirited descended it was described as the sound of wind. David used to say we should read the Bible rather than commentaries. Now he is writing commentaries and straying from the Bible.

Powerful insights on the Book of Acts
Excellent commentary and historical background. Pawson writers where readers can engage without being overwhelmed with too much history. One can focus on the acts of the Apostles and the Holy Spirit as the Gospel spreads to the world.
