I installed this on my 2018 Polaris 570 sp and it was plug and play basically fits and works perfectly I’ll probably change out steel cable for synthetic rope down the road it’s a little more expensive but worth it

This OEM winch is the best. Easy plug-in play works perfect perfectly. The only thing I would add is that they should put the auto stop device in there.

Had to relocate the solenoid to the frame of the Sportsman. By doing so the winch would fit and the wires were long enough to reach the battery. I also had to file down the plastic pushpin under the radiator bracket in order to be able to line the bolt holes up. I looked the winch up on the Polaris website and stated it would fit my machine but without the modification I did it would have never fit. Took me about 2 hours with all the extra stuff I had to do. Other than installation issues, the winch is great quality.

The winch is great and reliable so far. I did have a small issue on install due to some confusion over the models throughout the years. I have read that XP and SP are essentially the same thing and Polaris just changed the name over time. Turns out that isn't the case. Instrcutions say if you have an SP that you would need to relocate the solenoid. Since I have a 2018 570XP, I did such and installed per instructions. It was tight fitting between the radiator and solenoid contacts. Tried to test the winch out and had already worn through the contact boot, causing a immediate battery short. Luckily it wasn't enough to fry anything but it could have potentially been real bad. I put the solenoid back where it was when the winch came out of the box and has been working great since.

Installed this on a 2019 Polaris 850 SP sportsman. You have to remove the solenoid from the side where it is located out of the box and mount it in the middle where the four holes are located in the center of the spool. The directions tell you this at the very last page for my model. Also, you will need to loosen the nuts on the red blue and yellow wires on the winch self to straighten them due to where you need to relocate the solenoid. Other than that, looks and works great and I installed a brush guard at the same time removing the fair lead from the Polaris winch and then reinstalling it on the brush guard.

This was a great purchase! I had previously purchased a less expensive brand to install on my ATV, but i quickly realized that the additional parts and oversized wiring were going to require more time and effort to install then the lower price winch worth. In addition, Polaris has manufacture installed quick connects for the controls. Based on this fact, it made more sense for me to purchase a higher priced Polaris winch, as opposed to a less expensive winch. With respect to installation, i installed the entire winch in less than 45 minutes, and I am not a mechanic. Between the Polaris sponsored video's and the install instruction in the package, it was a very easy instal.

In my opinion well worth the money due to the super easy installation. I must say I was suspect of the added cost for this unit, and others claims of how east it was to install. But I installed it in about 45 minutes (because I'm a little older now and rest during projects:)...but could have been done in 20 minutes if you just got down to it. The switch on the handle bar is nice and custom....but I did struggle a little getting it to fit and seat properly. But it's on and it looks great. Winch works fine.
