The Natural Cozy Cottage: 100 styling ideas to create a warm and welcoming home

I was waiting and waiting for this book to come down in price! I’ve bought so many similar and have been disappointed so didn’t want to pay a fortune.However, this is well worth the money and I’m soaking it all up! Some fabulous ideas and tips for recycling and making look pretty.

I have been following Chris on instagram for some time and I always find her posts inspiring. I also have her two previous books, Scandi Christmas and Seasonal Scandi Crafts and I have made several of the projects in those books, with great results. These two books have become two of my favourite books and I have given them as presents to girlfriends who also love them. When I saw that Chris was publishing a third book, I did wonder if she could possibly have more interesting, unique ideas.As soon as I received Natural Cozy Cottages, I knew I had another favourite to add to my collection. Lots of lovely styling ideas that are easy and inexpensive to implement. I think the reason that Chris is able to keep producing books with new ideas is that this is how she lives her life. From her instagram posts, you can see that she is constantly trying to add beauty to everyday life, even making her utility room look enchanting!I have ready many books of this genre and have dismissed most as repetitive and uninspiring. This book is a real gem and I know I will enjoy it for many years to come.

I have a lot of interior design books. This one rates as one of the best I have. It has given me a lot of ideas...ideas on transforming items I have. I hone in on single items rather than looking at whole rooms as I live on a narrow boat so a small space. Highly recommend this 'full of ideas' book

This book is exquisite! The whole book is like walking through the front door into the authors home and receiving a warm welcome, before being offered tea and cookies. Chris has shared her philosophy for making a cosy home and the photographs by Shirlie just transport you immediately. This book, whilst a visual treat and just delightful to thumb through, also motivates one to look at one's own home with fresh eyes. it expounds the joy of findings preloved items and giving them a fresh look, so many of the little projects which are included in this delight are very doable and, importantly, inexpensive. Buy this book - it is a bringer of joy!

This book by Christine Bellstedt Myers is a breath of fresh air taking the reader into a fabulous journey around Chris’s home.For anymore, like me, that needs a little help styling their home in a way that makes one feel totally relaxed and comfortable, this is the go to read.The photographs are so inspiring, and a delight to view.Just turning the pages and seeing the images makes you feel content.I cannot recommend this book enough.

I was given this book as a Christmas present and thought it was beautifully presented and full of great ideas so much so that I bought a copy for my sister who loved it as well.

The new book was lovely to read I’ve already read through it twice. It has given me lots of ideas to use in my own home ,from the homemade bath products and kitchen tips to the sewing ideas. It’s a book you can keep going back to when looking for inspiration for cozying up your home. X

I expected more, it read as a very self congratulatory tome. I hoped for real practical ideas rather than some very basic sewing tips and the exhortation to leave jars of herbs everywhere. When the author started singing David Attenborough' s praises I gave up.

I gave this lovely book as a gift. It is lovely, full of pictures with antique indoors and out!

Wanted this book for a while and was very happy with the shipping and product!

The images in the book show examples of old and worn items which can be used to furnish a cottage but certainly did not convey any feeling of coziness.

Really enjoyable book with many ideas and instructions for creating simple yet beautiful cottage decor and storage for your home. Many are inexpensive and directions are easy to follow. Has quickly become a favorite book of mine and I plan to implement many of the projects in my own home.
