KosasChemistry Deodorant - Aluminium and Baking Soda Free + BO-Fighting AHA Serum that Exfoliates, Softens, and Nourishes the Skin, (Serene Clean)

I had to do EXTENSIVE research when I suddenly developed pregnancy B.O. at 15 weeks. After reading that this could last even postpartum, I swear my perinatal anxiety got even worse.I was using a natural deodorant before but was so devastated when that just suddenly stopped working.I went back to daily “detoxing” my pits with Bentonite Clay and Apple Cider Vinegar which did help but ain’t nobody got time to be waiting 20-30 mins before showering every single time.This deodorant was recommended on a blog I read. I made the initial mistake of just using it one day after a shower and it didn’t work. I made a few tweaks and now it works like a charm.I use a benzoyl peroxide face wash (I use Differin face wash-in the shower, under the pits, count 20 seconds each pit and leave it while I wash hair). Using a washcloth or exfoliating scrub/cloth, I use a tea tree oil soap like Dr Bronners. As soon as I get out of the shower, I dry my pits well, then apply the deodorant.Yes it’s really wet no matter no little you roll, I try to let it dry a bit but again, ain’t nobody got time. This method has worked for me. I’ve also read others using a feminine wash (I tried with Monistat wash with boric acid, instead of using benzoyl peroxide and it worked.)Truthfully, just the differin alone works for me, sometimes I don’t even use the feminine wash or the tea tree soap after the differin wash and I’ve had the same results. It’s really just a matter of using some sort of acid on the pits to neutralize it and then apply the deodorant.I only wished the tube lasted longer and priced a little lower. My first bottle lasted about 3 months with daily showering. Wished the bottle was larger and wasn’t so expensive. Both scents smell lovely.

I feel like this is not getting the hype it deserves! I have gone through EVERY deodorant and I am a smelly and sweaty girl lol I apply this in the morning and it last all day. I am shocked after the gym and sweating all day I still don’t smell! It goes on wet so just let it dry but it doesn’t get on clothes and doesn’t leave you sticky. I’ve used this for about a month and I will be repurchasing!

It’s a good product and it does the job decently, I’m just thinking it’s maybe not for me. It’s a bit expensive for the value in my opinion. It reduces your BO smell a lot but the product itself smells weird. Not sticky tho, clear and doesn’t leave marks. Very easy application. My biggest concern is the main reason I bought it is because reviews said it helps decrease armpit dark spots but it hasn’t at all.

On a sleepless night in December, I went Amazon browsing. I thought to look for a new aluminum free deodorant. I've tried other brands aluminum free versions like Secret, Schmitt's, Tom's and my current favorite for years, Native. Native was the best working for me out of the rest I've tried. However, anytime I sweated I smelled. I reminded myself often of those "Sure or Unsure" commercials, keeping my arms down throughout the day so no one could smell my armpits. Embarrassing! I was always Unsure! Hence, my sleepless searching. Thank GOODNESS for the reviews on this. With the reviews and the word "chemistry" on the packaging, I thought "why not" even if it's expensive AND a roll-on. I haven't used a roll on in decades because of that wet, swamp feeling it leaves in the armpits.Sadly, putting this on, I still have that wet, swamp feeling, strutting around in a sports bra in the morning, flapping my arms like a chicken to get them to dry. They then, feel a little bit tacky for a bit which I don't care for. And the smell of the Serene Clean is meh. Not pleasing, but not gross. (I'll try the beachy scent or unscented next). It's not strong though, so no one else but me would be able to smell it. The smell goes away by the time it's dry.So I tested this out, wearing sweaters inside, covering myself in a blanket, and put this to the test. I know by the afternoon and definitely by the end of the work day, I was Unsure with Native, but now I am SURE. THIS PRODUCT IS A MIRACLE. I need to make sure everything is healthy for the body, because now I'm skeptical that this is actually working. I'm not sweating, so I'm not sure what's in it to be Antiperspirant like, but my armpits aren't swampy at the end of the day. I can't wait to try it out working out. This will now be my go-to deodorant.

I specifically bought this Kosaport deodorant because it was a clear roll-on with cleaner ingredients. Overall I like it; not messy at all and dries pretty quick. I'm a light sweater with low activity level; a few light swipes is all I need and I feel protected all day. Depending on your body chemistry you may need more or less.What I don't like about this deodorant though is the actual information on the tube is hard to read. Not great if you ever want to reconsult the ingredients; you would have to keep the outer box or take a photo of it.Second, there was a warning on the outer box about using sunscreen with it because of the AHA ingredient. I double checked and this warning is not currently in the product description, or on the tube itself. It doesn't affect my use but considering the branding this would be important for people to know who were planning on using this during outside sports like say, volleyball where your under arms would be exposed.Third, the "Beachy Clean" sent smells artificial even though there are no artificial fragrance ingredients. It's just not the light, salty, ocean air scent I was expecting. It smells more like that "Cool Water" cologne or something.Overall I think this is a fine deodorant for daily use, I just would pick a different scent next time. However if you are someone looking for a deodorant to use during outside activities you may want to consider something else.
