Thus vent cover was made of hard durable plastic. It fit inside the hole in my foundation vent perfectly! The price is little steep for the amount I needed, so I only purchased one for now. You can install this cover with screws or with glue. I was happy with it overall.

Excellent…covers my engineered flood vents and stops water from coming in….

The vent covers fit perfectly, but I wish there had been some pre-drilled holes.

I bought these to use in the winter to cover my crawl space vents underneath my 1940’s home. I used black gorilla duct tape to attach them to the house and removed them after the last freeze. They looked decent with the tape, but I made sure to keep the tape square and neat. I wish there was another way to attach and remove more easily (maybe I’m just unaware). I was able to cut a couple of them using my reciprocating saw, that I needed to fit around some wiring and also some that I needed to remove the lip because the vents are low to the ground on one side of my home. Worked great for what I wanted them for. The seller was great and answered all my questions quickly.

Came across this while looking for crawl space vent covers use for the winter and ordered them. Did not unpack at first till it was time to install and then discovered they were each damaged in one of the corners. Some of the other reviewers had same issue; thinking they need to do better job at packaging. They are solid covers and fit well for my needs. I did predrill holes for mounting screws. They are not flimsy, and I think they will last over the winter seasons. I did add Styrofoam to the inside of each for some insulation, and this covered the holes in the corner of each that were damaged by shipping. And they do look good once installed.

These covers are perfect for what I need. I purchased this house two years ago and for the past two winters, rain kept getting inside the garage through the vents. After much frustration, I decided to make sure this winter will be different. I thought about having a contractor just seal up the vents and stucco over it but then I thought this is going to cost quite a bit. After a lot of researching, I found these covers. They attach right over the opening with a strong construction adhesive. Before installing, I primed and painted them to match the house color and now you can't even notice them. This is a good and inexpensive fix to an annoying problem. I highly recommend them.

I’m really happy with this product considering I will never have to replace my automatic vents that break every few years. I have to laugh at the person who left one star. They clearly didn’t read the description. If they had, it’s OBVIOUS it doesn’t open & close because it is a VENT COVER. It is meant to close the vent permanently, although you could also do it for just the winter. So they returned it and will go buy a piece of junk automatic one that will just break in a few years. Not so smart. I bought one of the recessed vent covers as well to see the difference. The recessed one just slides back into the opening and I secured it with some Loctite. For this one, I just drilled it right into the foundation with some screws and anchors because I’m not replacing going to be replacing it.
