Update: okay this thing is great! Don’t let your hair get too long and you’re gonna be really surprised! It’s smooth, it’s quick, and I have yet to have any irritation. The first review I posted was with my hair too long (it doesn’t do the best with long hair) but everyday, or every other day growth, this thing takes care of business…the battery life is great too, it doesn’t need to be charged all that often. I’ve used it 4 times now without recharging. I shave with shaving cream, that’s the best way for me…smooth! Also, like in my first review…how to clean it….very simple once you learn how to do it! I can’t go back to my old way of shaving…this is the new standard. It’s not bad…but it’s not great! It struggles to get the hair on the said of the head near the ears…you can see that in the photo. Also…I went ahead and used the device to shave half of my head and then wanted to see how much hair my single blade razor could pick up behind it. You can see that in the sink photo…it’s a quite a bit of hair that my razor was able to pick up. 1. My Hair was a little long when I used this shaver, so that might have some impact on it. 2. I did the second half of my head wet with shaving cream, maybe a little better than the first side that I shaved dry (but still the side of the head had to be touched up with my original single blade razor) 3. I felt some slight irritation on the back of my head on the dry side…which is strange because it doesn’t cut near as close as the razor. 4. Cleaning…that’ll take some getting use to. The blade cases open so you can rinse it off…but it’s never fully clean and how do you dry it? 5. It’s definitely not a one pass type cut…you will be circulating over the same spot a few times…that makes me nervous because it may cause irritation or bumps. Final: it’s not bad, but it’s not great. If I have to use my razor to go back over what I just cut…what’s the point right? If the cleaning is more strenuous than my razor what’s the point?…it’s a bit of a headache but I will need to see how this does when the hair is just slightly long and not as long as It was when I did this first trial.
