I have a fiberglass shower. I made 10+ attempts to install this and it would fall off within 3 or fewer minutes even after being properly installed with the green lights indicating so. I called a friend who is a contractor and he read the instruction and attempted installation and the same thing happened again and again. We tried several different areas of the tub, it did not matter where it was placed. Fully smooth surface, cleaned, dried. Failed and not trustworthy even if it did hold at this point given I have seen how it can be indicating safe the moment to later fall off. Not recommended!

I wish I could give this product zero stars ! My wife and I have been longtime users and fans of Amazon and their products. It's one of the first places we look for things we want to purchase , even if just for quality or price information.We purchased a grab bar In February 2015 and used it as a balance-enhancing bar in our shower. We have a weight-bearing bar that was installed when the bathroom was re-modeled but decided to get another one to help with our balance . We never used it as a weight-bearing bar. We noticed that the bar was starting to loosen in June of this year and would have to re-suction it every few days. We thought that is was probably due to the spring tension wearing out and decided to order another one. Unfortunately they were no longer available to order so after reading reviews , we decided to order the bar from Vive Health.Despite constant efforts to make it work, it was a total failure. I would re-anchor the suction in the morning for my 5 am shower and by the time my wife was ready to use it at 8 am , it was loose again. We tried everything possible but after a week , decided it wasn't worth the effort . We got another bar at a local store and it works just fine.This is one of the worst products we have ever ordered from Amazon and as it is connected to personal safety , I would really caution anyone about purchasing it.

So here it is 3 months later, and the bar has continued to fall down. The first two months, it was firm as gorilla glue. Now it doesn't even stay up for a few HOURS! AVOID THIS PRODUCT. It's attached to my fiberglass molded shower-tub unit. I bought this for my dad who is 89 and is a little wobbly in the shower. He wouldn't take a shower at my home because he was afraid he'd fall. I read the reviews and searched for the best product, and while I was hesitant that a few people said it wasn't that good, I decided to try it. It's been attached for a month the entire time. When I pull on it, it is stuck so hard that the fiberglass moves a bit with it. I like that there are warning lights as well to let you know it's stuck.

This is just perfect for my new bathroom. We just updated my mother-in-law's bathroom. Putting in a walk-in shower with glass doors took away a much needed hand rail. Amazon came through with this grab bar and our problem was solved. The suction is super strong and the green lighting up feature is reassurance that it is properly installed and ready to be used. I needed something that would be strong, functional and did not have to be permanently mounted to the tile. My tiles were 14" so it was easy to avoid the grout lines and make a secure contact as has been recommended.Thanks!

My mom has Alzheimer's and recently caregivers having extremely hard time getting her to shower without fighting and acting out each time. Her caregivers asked we provide some type of hold bar in the shower for her so we found this bar on Amazon. Well, it made all the difference. Apparently she was afraid of falling but was unable to make that clear (due to disease). Once the bar was up, easy to place, it made all the difference. Once she could hold on to the bar, she remained calm and didn't fight back. Showering is now faster and easier for all involved. We are buying another one for the other side of the shower so she'll have a bar on each side. This shower bar is a life saver.

The media could not be loaded.  Simply outstanding , the build quality and feel is exceptional. Fitted in seconds and will give my elderly parents tremendous peace of mind now whilst bathing and showering. Thankyou Vive an amazing product at an amazing price.

Just what I needed. Stayed stuck for 4 hours then became detached. So, I used the trick I discovered years ago. I wetted the suction pads then refitted it to shower wall, magic .... its still there weeks later. Very good quality and a reasonable price. Very pleased!

Had 2 knee replacement surgery in less then a year and the grab rail came into its own. I'm not a small lady so wanted something to take my weight. This grab bar as given me the confidence to get in and out of the shower, which is over our bath.. Its very stable and the indication lights give you the green light when it's placed correctly,. We take it on holiday with us as its very portable and easy to use. Would recommend over the cheap alternative.

I bought this for my mum and because it is removable it’s very handy and can be used on almost any solid surface like tiles in a bathroom or the shower panel like I have done,almost any flat surface however not on painted walls!!

Would give this 0 stars if I could. Failed miserably. Followed instructions and the clips went to green meaning safely on. Worked when I went into the shower. And when I was coming out came straight off the wall, I fell slamming my head against the wall causing a major concussion and trip to a&e. Returned immediately. Don’t even bother buying.
