Madame Bovary

These Penguin Clothbound Classics are my favorite. This one came well packed in a plastic covering. Came quickly. I like the font, has a couple of pages of chronology for context, a good introduction l, excellent notes that accompany the text, and a bookmark. Reading from these books is a treat. A good cup of tea with my mechanical pencil and midliner highlighters for annotating qnd my cel in hand for looking things up is my favorite way of reading this. Has good margin space for notetaking. I can lay the book flat easily. Plis- they are beautiful.I’ve read several of these books and the design hasn’t faded, save for the titles, slightly.

Nice book. Bought it for the coloring, for sentimental reasons. The book I received is quite clearly orange and purple, not pink and purple.

Das Buch ist sehr schön, aber warum klebt man auf den schönen Stoffeinband ein Preisschild?Beim Abziehen ist die gesamte Farbe abgegangen. Sehr sehr sehr ärgerlich. Habe mehrere Bände aus der Reihe und in einer anständigen Buchhandlung hat noch nie jemand ein Preisschild darauf geklebt. Ein Grund mehr seine Bücher nur noch im Einzelhandel zukaufen!
