This is a smaller, compact version of the slicers you'll see at supermarket cheese counters.It's small and light so doesn't take up a great deal of room on your kitchen counter, or when stored away in a cupboard or draw. Being made from stainless steel it's sterile and easy to clean, which are both great given it's for use with food.It's pretty basic but does the job although you can't get particularly thin slices of cheese nor are they all even. The wire cutter isn't the strongest and doesn't cut smoothly through the cheese though we've been using it on hard cheddar straight from the fridge so it may work better on softer and warmer blocks.You do need to practice the cutting movement as the wire does frequently catch and rub against the steel base, but I daresay this will become less of an issue. The fact that you also get replacement wires is good and very convenient.

First time cheese cutter user, I never knew such things existed and i hate cutting cheese, start of nice and slim then by the time i get to the bottom of the block the cheese slice has quadrupled in size ruining my sandwich.This cheese cutter is very ergonomic from the excellent value for money, 5 spare cutting wires included, easy to clean, ease of use for measurements and so very light weight and takes up little space being so thin.do be careful as the wire is sharp, it is incredibly sharp that you don't knwo you've cut yuorself until you see the blood.Fortunatly this cheese cutter si extemly easy to clean and be kept clean.Thsi would make a ideal gift for any cheese lover whether cooking or prepping cheese for a cheese board this chesse cutter offers great value for money

This arrived shoddily assembled. The wires holding device was assembled off centre. The underside has 2 brackets and one was almost flat it was so bent out of shape that the wire was skewed to the left of the hole it needs to go through when cutting cheese.I tried bending one of the holders so that it was straight which improved it, but its still not straight. It is usable now at least. Further problems are its off centre design means only right handed people can use it. When I worked on cheese counters including only 3 years ago, we always had the slot in the centre so both handed people can use it.The killer issue with it is there is no wire tightener so its floppy and pings about on the cheese and the metal slot when cutting. Other cutters have tighteners to make the wire nice and taut.It is not recommended.

Badly made and inefficient in operation, a complete waste of money.If it was possible I’d give it no stars, absolute garbage.

This is a fairly basic cheese cutter. We have had some before but the wire always breaks eventually and they end up getting thrown away, so I was pleased to see this one comes with spare wires (although I have not yet needed to fir one). You have to put quite a bit of force on the wire and if you want to have nice even bits of cheese then you'll struggle with this, but it gets the job done. Cleaning is straightforward enough, it goes in with the rest of the washing up (we don't have a dishwasher).

Not great quality but still an ok cheese cutter. Simple design and operation. Wire a bit fiddly to get out and replace. One rubber foot missing off mine on arrival and not put together very well hence the 3 stars. Ok if your just after something simple.

Let's face it we all cut cheese and it ends up wonky this solves that it's so easy to use and you get extra metal bows incase they break but I love this

Sits firmly on a smooth kitchen surface. The scale makes it easy to measure repeated cuts. Very easy to clean with other utensils. There is some play in the hinge which can result in the wire catching the base, but with practice this can be avoided, Repacement wires are icluded which enable fairly easy replacement and tensioning . Nice addition to the kitchen.
