I have NEVER made gingerbread houses before. I've always made Christmas houses with graham crackers. I tell you what--these cookie cutters make it SO much easier than even that! This comes with a recipe and two cookie cutters. Super simple, you cut two house shapes and 4 rectangles. Let cool, then assemble. This even includes a recipe for the frosting. Which is super great.I doubled the recipe for the cookies and got enough pieces for 14 houses. I rolled mine to 1/8 inch thick, and even though the recipe says it will make four houses (per recipe) I got seven per batch. I might roll them a little thicker, but the thinner pieces were really great at holding their shape and making the house. I also doubled the recipe for the royal icing, and it was just a little too much for the 14 houses.The houses are pretty little, but a perfect size for small hands to decorate. We could fit about 20 starburst candies on the roof, and it was shorter than a candy cane. About the size of a milk carton from school--which is about the same size as we were making with the graham crackers.If you are planning to use these to make your own houses, here are my suggestions:1) Get rolling pin rings. Seriously, this will help.3) Bake the houses the day before you assemble the houses.4) Adult assembly is required. They fit together but kids would find it a bit frustrating5) Set them up on cardboard or cake circles

Cutest cookie cutters! My daughter bought these with an Amazon gift card she won from her orthodontist - she is SO excited to make mini gingerbread houses! They seem pretty sturdy and I love that they are made in the US! Before you order though, make sure you know what size 4 inches is, otherwise they look pretty tiny

Yes, they are on the small size as the dimensions say, but perfect for what I need to use as separate style cookies vs the gingerbread house. They would be great for kids projects! Or a decorating party. A finished gingerbread house would be about the size of a milk carton as someone mentioned. It even came with a recipe if needed.

A little smaller than I had hoped, but we had a BLAST with our decorating contest. The recipes for the Gingerbread and icing were spot on. (Hint on the icing...whip the egg whites until really stiff, then slowly add powdered sugar until SUPER thick).

We have a Gluten & Dairy allergy, but still wanted to make a ginger bread house with our 3-year-old. This is the perfect size and gets the job done. It’s small, but the title clearly discloses that it’s small. We like the smaller size!

these are basic metal cookie cutters but they are sized well if you want to make individual gingerbread houses. like all cookie cutters, they are susceptible to bending out of shape, so take care.

Used this to cut out ginger bread houses during christmas. Was great size for everyone to do one. This is smaller houses not big ones but cheaper than buying everyone a boxed one from the store. Would recommend.

The cutter itself was lovely, but was smaller than expected so I returned it . The product dimensions in description are even slightly bigger than the packaging it was attached to !

Had expected this to be a "kit" as described and therefore quite reasonably priced. It is not a kit. It is simply a cookie cutter. A much overpriced cookie cutter.
