OK2 BUYNOTE: Ensure your mixer blade/bowl height adjustment is correct otherwise the paint will wear off quickly and the rough aluminum will break apart and you will have to repeat purchase.You should be able to slip 3 sheets of paper between the bottom on the paddle and the bottom bowl without paper binding. Mixer paddle action should not produce any bowl/paddle noise, (only electric motor noise).If paddle adjustment is necessary, tilt motor head backwards...That will expose the adjustment screw on bottom of bottom of motor by the tilt mechanism hinge. Regular screwdriver slot, turn right left to lower raise motor assembly. Adjustments will assure long mixer paddle and bowl life.

Dough was used to make cookie dough ONCE in December. Washed and stored in drawer with tea towels and cloth napkins. Now looks like this. 😟

This item did not fit my machine K5 as described but when I let the seller know they quickly responded with a refund and no need to take the trouble to return the dough hook. I am sure they will update the description to avoid this happening again. Great customer service!

I got into baking for the pandemic, and I was recently gifted an old Kitchen Aid mixer with absolutely no attachments. I ordered this dough hook based off reviews, and I’m very impressed with the results. It fits perfectly, and works well. It seems likes it very sturdy and will last.

I've had my KitchenAid for quite a few years now, and have made extensive use of the dough hook, which I generally put in the dishwasher. The paint started flaking off, however, which I didn't feel was a healthy supplement for my family to be ingesting. I was afraid a replacement would be expensive, but this was very reasonable. It looks just like the original one (except with all its paint intact), fits and works like it, too. I've resolved to hand wash it, and I expect it will last for many years.
