This is a fantastic product for pain relief as well as other uses. While it takes a few minutes to heat up (about 10 minutes), the heat penetrates deeply and consistently. As a result it can relax even the tightest spasms. I’ve used it on my neck, temples, back and shoulders. I love the red infrared stones rather then typical coils or bulbs. This is a very steady, mobile and well made unit. It’s adjustable so you can adapt it to a variety of positions. Don’t be alarmed when you hear cracking or popping sounds this is normal. Not working.

Stopped heating!!after 9 mos. w/max use 15 hours a week. Booklet says lamp head lasts 2000 hrs not 700 hrs - Last one from other company, @ amazon, lasted 2016 till early 2022 - 6 years , needing no repair or replacement parts- waste of money & ONLY contact phone # in booklet is a # to china!I am updating my review since the customer service of refunding my full purchase amount was excellent. I appreciate the follow through to my comment and obviously it is a very fair way to settle the issue. Thank you to the company for this response.

Just to warn you, the shaft DOES NOT adjust at all. Only the arm and head does. Practitioners will have to keep the treatment tables very low so as to NOT burn the patient, which makes treatment very difficult!! I'm most likely going to have to return this. The head does not raise high enough above the patient.

I bought a couple for my clinic to try out. You can’t keep it on continuously, it has a 30,60,90 minute timer only. Also, the beeping noise is SO LOUD and there’s no way of turning it off. Lastly, it doesn’t get that warm.

I wasn't familiar with TDP, far infrared heat lamps. We have/use Red Light/Near Infrared Light therapy lamps, but they use bulbs to effect their specific therapy treatment. There is a power button: on/off, a time buttons (30, 60 and 90 minutes timers) and a button marked Temp (high/low selections). The display relays the details per time and temp.Assembly is fairly simple, with basic tools included. I opted to use my own tools, though. Even though the lamp seems reasonably stable, i added weighted pads/bags on the legs, to ensure stability. The articulating arms are decent quality, and seem sturdy with proper tension. Time and use will determine how these arms maintain that quality.The lamp does exude considerable heat. With this in mind, exercise caution around the lamp. The lamp head gets very hot.The design and construction gives this lamp a professional, clinical appearance. I love this! It seems to be authentic and gives great results. I love the glow it gives when I use it on my face. And my clients love it for their arthritis. It’s also very relaxing!

I always set it on high but I get a switching back and forth between high and low, very unsatistisfactory treatment. I just bought this three months ago. But, without fuss I am being given a replacement, for which I have high hopes.
