Great product.... Easy(ish) to install took me about 5-10min. If you have ever changed any type of door handle this is very easy. However follow instructions, I did not and missed one important thing todo. Follow arrows on the square bar inside lock. That must be facing a particular direction for the lock to engage. My fault not the product. The handle feels sturdy, works with out error for 99% of people. My elderly father could not get his fingers to work with this lock not sure why. Every other person has no issues. Little tip..... program multiple sets of fingers for same person to ensure there is no errors opening the doors when you need to. The app is easy to use. I was able to connect this door handle to my other app from a different manufacture of (cheaper biometric door locks).Pros: was able to connect to other brands app/sturdy/looks great/easy(ish) to install/works 95-99% of time (NONE will ever be 100%)Cons: the use of dumb Allen keys to fasten the door handles together (why not use a Phillips screw like everyone else?). Does not come with batteries (needs 4-AA).

OK so let me tell you where I had some issues installing. Make sure you listen to their instructions exactly and you cannot test the lock until you have the app installed and are functioning fully. I took the doorknob apart a few times because it didn’t seem to control the mechanism from the front door handle. But, that’s because it’s in lock mode until you set up the app. So trustee instructions and install it fully get the app running and then you’ll see what I mean. It was kind of difficult to install. it was difficult to line up and it’s hard to screw the screws in but eventually you’ll get it as I did. My screws to attach the front and back plate were not long enough so I had to buy new screws. Those in the kit don’t look like they’re long enough to even work on an interior door it seems a flaw. But I also purchased the gateway so now I can control it via Alexa and so far I’m loving it. If anything fails I will update this review, but once it’s installed and running it’s awesome! Seems good quality and seems to work good the mechanical key is a great plus and works great. I love that it takes batteries so it’s easy to charge. And by the way I’ve tried to other door knobs before this one and return them both and love this one so far!

I never wrote reviews but it’s a awesome finger print reader… purchased x2. Our garage door was stuck open for months waiting to get it replaced. Having someone having to keep unlocking the door or putting in your key got annoying fast. So I wanted something that would keep the entry into the home secure at all times but didn’t have to have a key either. This fit the bill.Great customer service, I damaged a latch for one of them, contacted customer service and they sent me a new latch free of charge. A+++ Customer Service.Getting a G2 Gateway enables Alexa remotely as well as the app being able to be used remotely and not right next to the lock.You can also get instant notifications of who is unlocking the door at any time, by the name you give that persons thumb print in your phone.Literally have 12+ family members that have there thumb print in the door. But you can always see a log of who’s finger unlocked the door that’s time stamped.Can also say Alexa unlock “devices name”. Alexa will then ask you for the pass code to unlock it. Say the correct code and she unlocks it and confirms that’s it’s been unlocked.Fingerprint Tip: Add the same finger multiple times in the app so there’s more than 1 variation of your thumb print. This will increase the chances it’ll unlock on your first try. Takes a extra 10 sec out of your day to do.

I Have a 14 year old staying with us who is a thief. I bought this door knob to ensure my stuff would stay safe from him.Installing this was okay. There is a YouTube video on how to install this. Took about an hour for me to install. Its slightly larger than a standard door knob.The batteries I put in are rechargeable AA batteries which seem to be working great and no issues there.The fingerprint part is very unstable. Sometimes the door knob opens on the first go and other times it can take 20+ times to open it.You can't have any water or anything on your thumb print or it won't open. It's very frustrating at times.Then I learned you can do the old fashioned credit card trick and open the door. This 100% defeated the point of the locking mechanism in this. It is not a deadbolt lock.I do not reccomend this product if you are using it as a security measure to keep someone out. It does not work for that.Very over priced and does not guarantee security.

I wanted to wait to review this. I had bought a cheaper lock. It kept rejecting my fingerprint. It also, would not keep the lock unlocked for a significant amount of time. I bought this one. It even feels studier. I have not had any problem with my fingerprint. You just have to hold it, until the light turns blue. A couple of seconds. The app is wonderful. I can remote unlock it. I did buy the hub. Not, sure how things would go if it was only connected to my Bluetooth. But the hub. No regrets.
