Fits buckets great
Works pretty well. They send you ways to make homemade bate with these for the flys. If you have chickens and you are using this, put a rock or something on top. They will knock it down

Doesn't work
First, they dont stay on the bucket without pitting something heavy on them . Second, the design doesnt allow flies to easily get in. I bought another fly trap and used the same bait in both. This one caught none, the other one caught like 20.

They don't snap on a 5 gal bucket
I ended up using 2 Homer Buckets from Home Depot and I have a variety of different 5 gal buckets. They do NOT snap on and a good breeze will take them off. This is super thin cheap plastic. For $20 they should sell 4-5 with shipping because a Dixie paper plate is stronger than this thin cheap plastic. The concept works, I'm just disappointed with how thin and flimsy the plastic is and that you have to tape it on with duct tape. I don't expect these to last in the sun.I used BugBane bait bought on Amazon for bait. The bait works fine. I have one bucket near a bucket fed calf and the other by my chickens. I don't expect to buy anymore. I'll just make something using the lid that comes with a bucket and a heat gun.If these were made with a better material and snapped on better, I would definitely have bought more.

Working great!
We have a big problem with flies in our backyard and this has been a big help.

Takes time and the right bait
So I set one of these up on the orange 5 gallon HD buckets, and put it on top of my trash bin, which is near the grass where my dogs go potty. At first I watched it like a hawk to see if flies were going in, and at first they weren't (just the little gnat ones were getting caught). We had added all the stuff youtube videos said attracts flies, including rotting fruit and dog poop, and still nothing. However, after a couple weeks of forgetting about it, I checked and there were tons of dead flies in it. Maybe it took awhile for the bait ingredients to become more potent, so the flies could find the entry holes easier, or maybe it just took time, but now I'm just adding more water periodically and it's killing flies still.I noticed there's not nearly as many flies on our back patio when we sit down either, as most of them are attracted to the trap on the side of the house. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I think if the holes were a bit easier for the flies to get in, this thing would kill a ton more even.

Good idea but not quite there
I liked the idea of this however the lid does not securely fasten to a 5gal bucket so once the flies get in they just climb out underneath the lip. It also does not keep in the smell of the attractant what so ever, which I understand is the point but when they’re paying more attention to the lip instead of the little holes then it defeats the purpose. Also I am using a Home Depot bucket so I don’t know if there was a specific bucket the creator was using when they designed it but I ultimately had to duct tape the lid down. Also the little holes seemed to not be quite big enough for flies to wander in. They would spend their time sniffing around the opening and then not try to go in. My next test is to boar out the holes a little to see if that helps.

Doesn't work.
I have donkeys and chickens I bought this to help reduce fly population, added water and fly bait waited about 2 weeks looked I had 4 flies in it. So I took one of the fly trap bags that filled up in about a week and started rotting poured it's juices in it to try to get the smell stronger to attract, it has been 3 weeks and I have caught less than a dozen flies in it. For 10$ a lid I expected results. Overpriced, I would have no issue spending the money if they worked but they don't.
