They work well enough but I need more cameras. They say it's expandable and that's great but they don't tell you how or where to buy the extra cameras. So, as far as I'm concerned, it just has 4 cameras.

I'm not going to show up as a verified buyer, because the listing on Amazon I got for this same model (HM241) no longer works. But believe me, I have this exact model - and it's excellent.I installed it last year (July 2020 to be exact) and a year later it's been working nearly perfectly. I can monitor all four of the cameras remotely via the app on my Android (great to check on the cats) and the ability to replay stuff is great too.The motion detection isn't great, it's my only gripe with the system. But my surveillance grade hard disk has had no trouble keeping up to 21 rolling days of HD footage for all four of the cameras without any issues. There's no audio, but the video is pretty darned good. If you want something just to keep an eye on your property, I think this is a pretty great system to consider.

The media could not be loaded.  Well to Start I bought this over a year ago, and NEVER used or installed it. Did hook it up and checked it out. Installed a 1tb hdd but never well you know. Anyhow, made a trip back home 5 hours away and installed this within an hour (plug-ins were easy to get at) and had it all setup and running in notime flat. Considering the price for this 4 cam set (NOT 1080P) at all tho! It's well worth it the app isn't built for these cameras but 100% works via Google login etc. And can be seen ANYWHERE so long as your connected to wifi via cameras and receiver, as well as you having data or internet on the viewing device. Saves what needs to be saved although I never setup motion detection, does it on its own. (Have not updated firmware either, don't know if it had an update) just stating it's worth 120 u.s.d. for 4 wireless cameras with everything you need minus a hard drive. a NORMAL COMPUTER HARD DRIVE WORKS JUST FINE! IS A LITTLE BIG BUT WITH A 90 DEGREE SATA CABLE ITLL WORK FOR YOU! USING A HITACHI BLUE in mine now (old drive works fone) if you forgot your login password on the system then remove the battery and wait 30/60 seconds and it'll work fine!

I have the HM241 system. For the most part it's a good system. It's been trouble free for 2 years. I now have a little irritating glitch. There is zero tech support for Heimvision. No contact info in the manual or on their web site. Only an email, which nobody ever answers. I know most people don't think about needing Tech support for a product but had I known Heimvision does have Tech support I would've gone with a different product.

Good signal and reception from the wireless cameras. Video quality is okay, but doesn't appear to be true HD. The worst features of this system revolve around the software and user interfaces which are very subpar, both for NVR, mobile phone app and computer app. Occasionally sections of video footage are missing, possibly because the NVR failed to record everything or because data became corrupted... Not sure exactly why, but this camera system is not completely reliable. Beware - you get what you pay for and this system is about as cheap as it gets!!

I needed something better than a baby monitor to see who's coming in and out a rear door at my business... when the door chime I've installed rings, I wanted to be able to glance up and see if it was an employee or a delivery driver. I didn't install a hard drive... I didn't place it on my network. I didn't use but ONE camera... and still this thing is a 5 star system.I literally plugged in the power on the camera, and receiver... and added a monitor. The picture came right up after 20 seconds.IF I wanted to expand this system, later... I got options. That's why it's better than a baby monitor.

Setting up the NVR os pretty straight forward along with installing the cameras (find power source and connect the cables). Would recommend hiding the cables. Regarding the app download “heimlinks” instead of “ip pro” as said in the instructions ip pro is very difficult to view footage.
