I am Muhammad Ali

Great book for all ages. Love Ali all over again.
Being a kid of the 70s, I grew up absolutely knowing Ali but I remember being confused about Cassius Clay. Who is that? It certainly wasn't taught in school so I'm not sure I ever not just heard the whole story but understood it. Context. I love these books and this one is near the top. It's not just the story of Ali and how he became Muhammad Ali but the context as to why. I don't know how Metzer does it but he knows not just how to tell a story but when. Oh, ALMOST forgot this is a children's book. My kids love these and they're older than when we started reading them - middle school to college - and we all still love them so much. Love, love, love.

Just buy it!
We love the Ordinary People books! They all teach great lessons and breakdown important figures in history and today in ways appropriate for children! I can't wait to continue adding to our collection!

I learned a lot of new facts that I didn't know. I love the writing style & the way Meltzer points out the person's accomplishments.
