Portwest FW14BKR42 Steelite Protector Shoe, US Size 9 Split Leather, Black

I use this for general warehouse work. The design means that I have greater movement than a boot but the essential toe protection is still there. It is also cooler in the hot weather than a boot. I get one size larger than my normal shoe size to allow for thicker socks, and this has proved to be a good fit. They are comfortable for all-day wear. They are also smart enough to be worn when in the office as well, so I do not need to change.How durable they will be remains to be seen; I normally get 2-3 years wear from work shoes.

Pay your money, make your choice; that's what they say. In my opinion these shoes are 'ok' at best. But we're they worth the money? Yes! But I don't think I'll buy them next time. They've a weird tongue in them that I struggle with and the leather doesn't feel like it'll last too long.

I've had a pair of these shoes for two and a half years now, and I'm just about to replace them. I've got about as long out of them as I expected for the price. I haven't even changed the laces! The leather has dried and deteriorated, but I've not treated them with any sort of polish or dubbin.I don't use them in a work environment, but they have served well on long walks and working at the allotment.

If you need a cheap but solid shoe then buy this. Very comfy and hard wearing. I’m a train driver so I need a good pair of safety shoes and these fit the bill very well, winter is thick socks and summer thin, I’ve tried both and these shoes are as comfy with either type of sock.Would recommend

This item costs between £20-25 and is good for what it is, I couldn’t wear it all day though as the shoe does get uncomfortable after a while but is ideal if your using it for 2-4 hours .These shoes do exactly what it says on the tin.Hard wearing and good for the price I paid.I would order again, overall a good product.Steve A Southampton
