As with all Marttiini knives, this is VERY sharp out of the box. I love it! it fits it in coat pocket to have when I'm out in the woods. You never know when you will have to fend of something or someone but more often it's just really handy to have.The handle is really gorgeous light wood and the detailing on the sheath is really nice. Great price too.Highly recommend.

Did not give 5 stars as the knife deserves because of the method of shipping. Knife was shipped in its box inside of an envelope. Manufacturers box is damaged.. this may not seem like an issue to some but it hinders resale value if i chose to ever sell the knife off..This knife as all marttiini knives is high quality for very affordable prices. This knife is more suited for women and children due to the handle size. I wear a med-large to large size glove and it fits just fine but for any bigger of a hand it will be too small or dangerous to use. Sheath is normal marttiini quality (not great but not bad at all) Blade grind was perfect and razor sharp. Am very happy with this purchase and would buy again if shipped in a better packing that didn't get the manufacturers box crushed.

Knife is well designed. Looks discreet. Love the thumb grip and insanely sharp.I been slicing and dicing Amazon packages every day with ease.

It was a disappointment. It felt cheap. There are better knives out there that are better made, and cost less. I had to sand the nut on the end of the handle down to make it smooth.

The Knife is not typical of a Marttiini knife. This knife arrived quite dull and would require considerable sharpening to make it truly useful. The knife blade is highly polished so sharpening on even a fine stone may scratch up the blade, ruining the polish job. The handle is thick with varnish which makes it very slippery and would be difficult to control if it were wet. The wood in the handle is very plain for Curley birch. All in all this knife is a disappointment and is going back.
