UPDATE DECEMBER 2023:Due to following issues with 2 of these devices I can no longer recommend this device to anyone.1. In standby mode this device emits an electric buzzing noise which is very annoying. So it cannot be left in standby mode rendering it useless to me.2. Battery drains rapidly when the device is completely turned off.3. I doubt it purifies the air due to its tiny size.Just to clarify I have 2 of these devices, purchased at different times from different suppliers and both have identical issues. Manufacturer washes their hands off it claiming to be unable to reproduce the issue. There is no way I could have 2 devices both faulty, absolutely no chance. Based on this I cannot recommend this device to anyone. Certainly not at the prices they are being sold at.Saw this item in Selfridges selling for £600. I was very sceptical of all their claims about this device but gotta say VBreathe company was able to answer my questions and backup the independent research about this device by providing the necessary documents proving that the research into this device was indeed carried out.The device is very high quality with the whole body made out of machine cut aluminium. Feels very cool and nice to the touch. Bottom has a serial number and a nice rubber ring to hold it in place on slippery surfaces.After about 10-15 minutes the air was smelling of the vactive gel which is nice. I’ve had it running for about 2 hours now and the whole room is definitely smelling much nicer. Smell is very pleasant overall but not the one I’d choose if I had a choice.Overall setting up the device is very easy. It comes with 3 x vactive gels, 2 x HEPA filters (one inside the device), USB charger with different adaptors for various countries, usb-a to usb-c cable, and a cloth sleeve bag to put the device in. Battery life overall is not bad. My device was running for about 30 minutes on a full charge and only lost 5-6% of the battery so still had 94%.I felt a little light headed when I sat next to it for about 30 minutes, not sure if it was due to the freshness of the air or the fact that vactive gel is having its effect on me but overall it feels nice in the room right now. I have tried to light a match next to the device and it did recognise almost instantly that the air quality was poor and changed its colour ring to amber.Overall I’m pleased with the purchasePositives:1. Looks and feels premium2. Small and portable3. Air feels fragrant and cleaner so does its job well so far4. Light rings can be changed to custom preset colours via the app5. Night mode can be enabled via the app to turn all lights off except for the power button which turns faint blue.6. Firmware can be updated via the appNegatives:1. The seals on my box were cut open.2. Application for iOS is fairly buggy and inconsistent as the connection is made to the device via both the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi and at some points the app would not display the battery information or when I’d change the setting it would not reflect it on the device.3. When the device is in standby mode, it emanates an electric whining noise almost like the fan is still turning but very very slowly.4. Overall the noise of the fan/motor is fairly pronounced, even on low setting. By no means loud or annoying but certainly could be more quieter.5. I wish each vactive gel that comes in the box had a different smelling fragrance.6. I’m not sure what type of HEPA filter is that but it doesn’t appear to have different levels of media in the filter so I’m still not sure as to how well it cleans the air. Overall the filter media is very thin.7. The device is fairly top heavy due to how hollow the lower part of the device is. It will stand upright with no issues on solid surfaces only.8. UPDATE: After some usage I noticed that when I fully charge the battery, switch the device off and unplug it, the next day the battery isn't 100% but 85%-94% as if it draws battery while completely turned off (I'm not talking about the standby mode, but about the device being completely turned off)UPDATE 06/05/2022:Issues:1. iOS app works over the internet and Bluetooth and switching between the two is very random - app does it automatically2. I fully charged the device and didn’t use it for 1 week while it was switched off (not in standby mode), the battery was almost entirely drained. It had only 8% left. Something is draining the battery very rapidly while it is switched off.3. iOS app - when checking for firmware updates, it doesn't show anything at all. Just empty screen, so not sure if there is an update available or not.4. Overall iOS app is very sluggish, slow and buggy.With the above in mind it is quite difficult to recommend it!
