Easy to use, nice results in the morning. A good price considering the cost of a facial.

Not worth it at all.

Initially I doubted that a home peeling product could be of value because I was a facial snob - only medical grade peels and facials for me! But I tired of their cost and the time commitment required for appointments. Then I met this wonderful product. It truly does the job. After a week of using it for three nights, my skin gently began to slough off without redness. It works. It's a little pricey, but not when compared to facials/peels.

This is my third, and likely last, given experiences, brush with the high-end line from celebrity aesthetician Kate Sommerville. Wanted to give it a try because Sommerville is best known for her eponymous ExfoliKate Intensive peeling serum, so wanted to see what her peeling products were all about.Well, first off, this contains both Glycolic Acid and Retinol, so if you have sensitive skin, PLEASE do a patch test before using it all over. My somewhat sensitive skin just would not tolerate this, burning and leading to flakey, red skin and irritated bumps.The warning label states that you shouldn't use this with any other Retinol or peeling product, and to be extra aware of sun exposure for at least a week after use. You should already be wearing sunscreen each and every day--as it's the single most important anti-aging step you can take--but it's doubly important when using this peel.Even if you don't have sensitive skin like mine please be aware that, while this also has some beneficial ingredients like Niacinamide and ceramides, for pore smoothing, and Vitamin E and hyaluronic acid for moisturizing, it also has Dimethicone, a.k.a. silicone, and for the life of me I can't imagine why you'd put this in a peeling serum.Does Kate Sommerville own stock in silicone? Because it seems to be in every single product in this line. Now, Dimethicone isn't necessarily a no-go ingredient in skincare, but its uses just don't seem to jibe, at all, with a peeling product. Silicone is often used in makeup primers to fill in fine lines. And, while Dimethicone itself is non-comedogenic, it can still cause breakouts simply because it's hard to remove completely and seals dirt and oil in pores. It's possible (likely?) it's just here for the consistency of the cream, but it just seems like a wholly unnecessary addition--as is the rather strong floral fragrance.

9/14/21~ Don't be fooled by this unassuming serum, it's Clinical Grade.Not Clinical Grade like your Dermatologist sends you home with a bottle.Clinical Grade like this is what they use in the office.Must be the easiest peel I've ever used.At night, wash your face. Dry your face. Apply a couple pumps of peel.Wake up to amazing skin that drinks your skin care like a thirsty camel.Here's the caveats if it's for you.KateCeuticals is made for aging, damaged, peel-conditioned skin.It's melting off the old skin by going deep with "burn".At 50+, I've been doing At Home treatments since my late 30's.Started with Philosophy's Microderm, Then Serious Skin's Glycolic peel.Still use SSC but fill in with Dr Gross for quick touch up.I tell you this for 2 reasons.One, there is a resurface option for all ages that will be gentle on your face.If it hurts, it's too strong for you.Two, on my skin it's a fading tingle bc I need a deeper treatment.My suggestion is, if your not sure, try on the back of your hand 1st.Our hands always need treatment, and can take it more so than face.But unless you have damage/scarring, or are over 40, this probably isn't for you.If you think there is no hope left for your aging skin.Miss the days you could throw on some eyeliner & go.Kate brings your skin back to low maintenance in 4-5 treatments.Is it worth 100 bucks? Absolutely.
