Having decided to try to overseed the back lawn for a third time this year, I was looking for something to deter the local 'gang' of pigeons from eating the seed.I came across Scare Tape on a You Tube video so decided to head to Amazon to purchase some.Having put up the tape just over two weeks ago, the lawn area has been virtually a bird- free zone with the exception of two visitors yesterday morning. Compared to seeing a dozen or more pigeons on a daily basis this is a huge turnaround.When it is raining; and we've had a lot of this weather recently, you do have to untangle some of the strands as they can stick to themselves or other strands. However, they still continue to flutter and 'crackle'. On a dry, windy day they really do work at their best. Add the impact of the shimmer from the holographic design on the tape and the birds are well and truly distracted. I just wish I had thought to encircle my crocosmia shrubs with it as it might have stopped a visitor biting through every stem at their base!I would definitely recommend this product.

Like many gardeners I've had a perpetual problem with pigeons especially and have tried all manner of scare tactics to little avail thus far. The main problem is that while pigeons like many wild birds are a bit skittish and easily scared, they're equally too smart for their own good. I'd tried putting out a stuffed cat thinking that would keep them away - and it did - for all of about an hour or two before they twigged that it was either a dead cat or one at least that wasn't going to be bothering them - one even happily sat on top of it just to prove the point about how they can tell the difference between safe & dangerous.So, I really wasn't too convinced about the idea of reflective tape doing much. I've only a small enclosed town yard which doesn't get much wind and so items like this don't always work as well as they might in a more open space. However, one other thing about pigeons is that they equally don't like new things or changes in their expected environment. SO I duly stuck up as many strips as I could around their usual perching areas and a week on, amazingly I've not seen any - now that's not to say they're maybe not about when I'm not around to catch them, but at least if nothing else the numbers appear to have dropped. Reading one of the other reviews makes me realise I should have started off with one or two strips rather than the 10 I've gone for, as I've little leeway on moving them around the place & as sure as anything the birds will soon decide to overcome their initial concerns. Like I said - way too smart these birds!The only issue I really have is that they're rather overpriced I feel for what they are - but desperation can overcome budgets sometimes.

Works well.A few strips on our balcony means pigeons never came back.

Having tape makes my life a lot easier and better protect my fruit bushes from feathered thieves. Kidoing, they can have some there’s enough to go around. But it does mean I have more than before. I was almost set to give up quite honestly I had so little berries left but his has really helped. Highly recommend.

Its a simple reflective tape which flutters in even the slightest breeze, easy to install and equally easy to remove.

We were keen to try this to try and keep the pigeons off our plum tree, reseeded lawn or general veg patch. Here are our thoughts:-✅ Double sided so will hopefully increase surface area visible to the birds plus more area for the sun to hit and create glare/reflection.✅ This is not adhesive - it needs to be tied or attached to the areas where its needed.✅ It's not the right time that it's needed and as birds will get used to this and become less scared of it over time - i.e. they work out that it's not a threat, we're not going to use this until growing season. During the growing season it will be moved around as again this will make the birds more anxious about it for longer.✅ Tested ok in terms of durability - can get a little wet but it's best performing dry.✅ Does produce a little rustle in the wind whch will hopefully add to deterrent factor.✅ Good value two pack - one is wider than the others which creates even more surface area for reflective deterrent.Proof will be growing season and how well it deters the birds.

Funciona perfectamente, lo he puesto en el césped para que los gorriones no se comiesen las semillas y no se ha acercado ni uno, lo único, te puede molestar un poco los brillos que produce al darle el sol, pero como es algo temporal, no tiene importancia. Recomiendo su compra.

Mossi dal vento non fanno più avvicinare i piccioni. A differenza degli inutili palloni gialli questi mi hanno risolto il problema sul balcone.

Haben die Bänder über unser ganzes Hühnergehege gespannt weil wir neuerdings Probleme mit Greifvögeln haben.Am nächsten Tag, nachdem wir es gespannt haben, war der Vogel wieder da.Funktioniert also null, nichtmal wenn es ganz neu aufgehangen ist!

Lo compré para ponerlo en la puerta de entrada, se posan y lo llenan todo de cacas, puse una cuerda de extremo a extremo y ate trozos largos en la cuerda, como de casi 50 cm, el viento y el sol al moverlos las deslumbra y hace ruido y no se acercan a la puerta o a los árboles que también ate trozos en ellos. Un gran descubrimiento. Adiós palomas !
