SAVED ME $3300!!! THANK YOU
I am overjoyed by how well this worked. I just purchased a home and the garage door worked for three weeks. We had a storm and I’m not sure if it was that or it just being old as to why it stopped. I called a garage door company that gave me a quote of $3300 to replace things on the garage as well as a new garage door opener. Saw this idea on YouTube and decided to give it a try. This saved me a ton of money and it is now working perfectly. I can’t say thank you enough. I was very easy to install, but I will say make sure you take a picture of your hardware before you take the cover off. Also, if it’s not lifting, you may need to adjust the weight. I will report back if needed to tell you how long it lasted.

Exact replacement fixed unresponsive opener
OEM replacement was easy to install and program with the included instructions. My opener had suddenly stopped responding to remote or wall switch. This fixed it immediately. The only thing I had to do was adjust the opening force screw / knob.

Lighting Strikes Another
Like the other reviewers, a lighting strike to the house prompted me to replace the Liftmaster logic board. I had the garage door installer diagnose the garage door opener and he wanted to replace the entire unit. Fortunately, I knew that the logic board could be replaced because I replaced one under warranty at a previous home. I used the Liftmaster website to find the correct logic board part number and hoped that Amazon.com had it because they have the best return policy if there is a problem. The logic board was super easy to replace. However, I was careless and did not record the safety switch and light control wire connections prior to removing them. Please learn from my experience (the only reason why I am writing this review) and pay attention to the wiring connection BEFORE you remove the failed logic board. I had to use trial and error to get the correct wiring connections.I thought that I had to remove the actual board, but you do not. This item comes with the cover and the logic board attached to it. If this logic board fits your garage door opener head, then this is an easy and excellent purchase.

Problem solved: Replaced my unit which wasn't receiving remote signals.
I bought the Liftmaster 41AC050-1 Logic board to replace the one my garage-door unit. Our unit was failing to receive the signal from the remotes unless very close to the garage door. Several times I had to get out of my car with the remote and point it at the rubber seams around the metal door. It appeared that the current unit was failing to receive a signal even though the remotes had fresh batteries and previously worked across the street.I matched the unit number on the back of the current one, and this unit fit perfectly. It was also manufactured this year (2015), and did not appear to be reconditioned.Instructions were clear, and all you needed to do was unplug the garage-door opener, unscrew the back plate which housed the circuit board, and unplug the board from the motor unit. You also have to detach the safety sensors and wired switch. You reverse the process to install the new circuit board/housing, and you have a new circuit board installed. Once finished, you pair up your remotes and make adjustments to the door strength/up-down using the rotary switches on the back of the unit and it's like new! This unit was a fraction of other sites online, and also less labor intensive than buying and installing a brand new unit. If your motor works, why replace the whole opener, right?
