Not a great machine.
Advertised wrong. Initial advertising said it was new. Upon check-out it said it was newly refurbished. I stillbought it...? Opened later and found out after I started it...It needed to be fixed. Not a great machine...Wasted my money

Works good, when it's running
I bought this unit in 2010 and probably used it about 5 hours per year, if that. Works good, when it's running. As of 10/1/2014, I was using it on a project and it sheared off the exhaust valve, which flipped up-side-down, inside of the cylinder and stuck in the top of the piston. So engine is shot after 20-30 hours of operation and well past warranty. Parts are relatively cheap, but not sure if I want to waste my time. I have other equipment with Briggs engines which I've had for 15 years. And, this isn't the first time this machine sheared off an exhaust valve. I probably won't buy another one with a Honda engine.Fishers Ferry, Pa.

My worst purchase ever.
This is the worst product I have ever bought. We bought it new 4 years ago at Sam's club. It worked well the first year, may 5 or so uses. The next spring we pulled it out, 1 year and 1 month after the purchase date, for the first use of the season. It wouldn't pressure up after 10 or so minutes of the engine running. I took the wand apart and the pump. It still didn't pressure up. I finally took the pressure valve out, cleaned and lubricated it, and it would then pressure up. However, it wouldn't de-pressurize. So, I just hold the wand while I start the engine, use it the kill the engine when I need to set the wand down.I go through a similiar process every spring and it's getting quite old. I spend two hours just to get it to function half way. There are plenty of pressure washers out there at the same price point, so I'd steer clear of this product.

Beware of Black Max Reconditioned items
I bought this pressure washer Reconditioned from Black Max. The tires looked very used and two engine covers were dented, even though the box was intact. It left the factory that way. Turned out the biggest dent was impeding the rocker arms and preventing the unit from operation. Good inspection.Black Max/Homelite customer service had to be dragged kicking and screaming to take responsibility for it. The unit sat at the repair center for weeks before they would green light the repair.Really unimpressive customer service and factory inspections. The latter cost me two 30 mile trips, and many hours of frustration as I had to shepherd a process they should have had the professionalism to handle. This included roughly 30 phone calls, often on hold for a long time (listening to really lame hold music). It was over a month before I actually got to use the unit.I'm probably an idiot for trying a reconditioned outdoor tool. But the experience was made worse by getting a much-used lemon that the company seemed reluctant to back.New units aren't much more. I recommend staying away from Reconditioned tools from Black Max or Homelite (who now seems to own the BM brand).
