User
It works great for its price
I have used it on my own 3 cats and it works great and I have used it on street cats too and it shows me their microchip numbers if they have a chip. I highly recommend it. The price is also very very low for a good chip reader.
User
strong enough to last reasonably well
others have noted that this doesn't work well, works OK for me, biggest problem is probably the migration of the chip Once you find it it picks it up no worries
User
Trusty
Works perfect
User
Not charging
Easy to use but only used twice and now it won’t recharge after trying multiple chargers
User
Would be better with a longer display time
Feels quite flimsy but is accurate. The display should last longer before automatically shutting off because it can be difficult to record such a long number in the time given. Can’t fault the price though
User
Does what it says
This works
User
Accurate
easy to find the chips in animals
User
Cheap but useful
Basic, thin plastic and cheap but works well and is reliable. I’m not sure how long it will last overall but it seems to have a fairly good battery life. This has been perfect for scanning my foster kittens and making sure I have the correct details before they move on to their forever homes.

Great scanner and price
Works great, I bought a few for the rescue I work with.
User
Faulty Scanner
Please do not buy this item, the scanner cannot be charged at all.Tried using latops, pc and power socket with original and other USBc to no avail.Typical chinese switch and bait tactic.
User
Perfecto.
Cumple su cometido, detecta bien el número de chip.
User
Inexpensive and functional
Fast shipping, functions well, is cheap. 5 stars and will update the review if any issues pop up.Bought this to scan a stray domestic bunny I caught. Tested it on 4 cats and 1 bunny known to be chipped. It scanned all of them rapidly, accurately and with ease. I didn't have to hunt around for the chip or struggle with positioning.Other reviewers have mentioned that the unit beeps and that it's loud or frightened their animals. Some very skittish animals may be bothered, but all of my animals are used to the sounds of human life. None of them were bothered at all.The unit's audio UX is actually thoughtfully designed and musical. It has a little square-wave synthesizer chip so it can output a range of tones, and it has different short patterns or melodies that indicate status changes: "I'm on", "I'm going-to-sleep", "You pushed the button", "I scanned a chip!", and "Try again".For $20 this did everything I need and doesn't feel or act as cheap as it looks. If you plan to use this heavily, like in a small vet office or a rescue, I'd be cautious about sterilizing it. It's probably not resistant to alcohol wipes or moisture intrusion, for example. I'd wrap it in plastic.
