I love this 100%. I am considering gifting it to my mother also. You do peel the onion and cut it at least in 4 but then just pull the cord a few times and it's in peaces. It saves me doing it and saves me from crying my eyes out also. Would buy again!

I haven't used it often enough to speak to its durability. This thing is great and So cute!

I was surprised and pleased and how easy it is to store this device. It is small but packs a punch and makes cutting items like onions and garlic a breeze. I plan to order more for family members.

Chops food well with little effort.

I absolutely love this chopper! It is very easy to clean. It has three main parts (the top, container, and the blades). It comes with a small cleaner (too small for my use); however, I use a baby spoon for cleaning the chopper. It does an excellent job of chopping my vegetables. It cuts down on my prep time. I use my chopper almost every day. It is great! It appears to be sturdy; however, I have only had it about a month. I plan to order another one and gift one to a family member.

It's not good when you give a Christmas present and the recipient says, "Oh no." She needed and asked for a new food chopper, among other things. All of her kitchen appliances are red, and this had good reviews so it seemed like the perfect choice.My wife used to sell Pampered Chef, and their chopper had a sharp wavy blade you thrust through the food by smacking the top of a plunger again and again. I hated cleaning that chopper because it was so hard to clean when material was deep down in the interior of a wave in the blade, and rather dangerous to get out. And I saw that a similar one had far lower reviews than this one. So that made this chopper even more attractive to me as the better present.Unfortunately, my daughter already had one of these, and she had two complaints. First, food can get stuck in the blade so it will no longer turn, and second, she has gotten cut removing stuck material from the blade. If you by it, keep something handy that you always use to free stuck material from the blade. Ideally, something should be provided.
