SAVE MONEY! BUY THIS KIT!!
I just tackled a small (1/2") impact area on my windshield. No cracks or spiderwebs but light was 'refracting' where a rock (I assume) had hit the windshield (theres some good info online that breaks down what's actually happening when something impacts the glass and what the eye is seeing. In my case, the light was refracting and it looked like a partially dark spot).Obviously, my biggest concern was progression of the damage. I finally got hold of a mobile company that would do it for under 100 euros (yup, i'm overseas). They ended up not being a very stand up company - they left me hangin. I hadn't even entertained the idea of doing it myself (was always something the 'professionals' did) until I got stood up and with growing impatience, I went online and searched 'diy windshield repair'.One of the first hits I got, led me to a youtube video by ChrisFix titled: How to Repair a Windshield Chip or Crack. He's direct, and thorough and pretty much makes it fool proof. **Watch his video...watch it again...read the instructions in the kit...watch his video one more time then - GO FIX YOUR OWN WINDSHIELD (unless of course you have insurance, then you shouldn't even be reading ANY of this!!).The kit works. Deviate from the steps and you'll curse the kit and wonder why you just didn't spend the extra $40, $60, $80 to have a professional do it. Oh, that's right - because $10 and a little bit of your time (less than an hour under 'ideal' conditions) is simply a whole lot better.Biggest piece of advice using this kit - be, and stay patient.I am happy with the repair and am happy with this kit. I plan on buying a couple more of these just to have on hand in case it happens again to my car, or, maybe a friends car gets a chip and I can save the day.Final thought - this is not a 'professional' repair. I would guess that a professional shop (read: more than $10) uses more expensive equipment and maybe some different chemical(s) and maybe a different curing method. However, it DID and does work and the way I see it - I cannot see the dark spot, the 'void' (however small) is filled, and I am confident that if nothing else hits that exact same spot again, I don't foresee any future issues. The only photo worth posting is the 'before'. I seriously cannot get a good enough 'after' photo to compare. (Watch ChrisFix' video, it's all in there).

Works great but you must follow the directions
Worked great on my semi truck windshield.

Cracked!
Watch videos before trying this. I went off the directions and I could still see the crack. It hasn’t spread. So that’s a good thing. But some of the videos show tips on how to make it work better.

Awesome cheap fix
My car's windshield is a magnet for rocks and road debris. I had a rock chip/crack that I previously had repaired professionally and was not satisfied at all with the results. They actually made the chip/crack bigger claiming they needed the space to fill it. Well, they filled it but the crack was still there and the fill in substance as clearly visible. They claimed it was the best anyone could do...BS, obviously.Got another rock chip/crack about 1/4" wide and was afraid it was going to spread. I saw ChrisFix's YouTube video about a $10 windshield fix kit and went ahead and picked this kit up. Wasn't exactly sure if it was the same one he used but what the hell...if it did to work, it'd only be $12 down the drain rather than the pricey professional fix.Followed the instructions as best I could and it took me about an hour total with prep, application and cure time in direct sunlight. Honestly, I was really shocked how well it did to fix the rock chip/crack. After using a razor and alcohol swabs to clean up the residue, there was vast improvement over the original rock chip/crack. It filled the crack nicely and the chip was filled in to the point I could only slightly see it. I'm pretty OCD so if you really look for it at every possible angle you'll be able to see it but my wife couldn't see the repaired rock chip/crack afte a few minutes of looking.I liked the results so much that I went ahead and re-repaired the old rock chip/crack that the professional company "fixed." It definitely improved it but that rock chip/crack was a few years old and had resin from the professional repair that I couldn't completely remove. Still looked better than it was.Obviously, your mileage may vary, but I made sure to do the repair when it was hot outside and let it cure in direct sunlight. Great, cheap fix that any DIY'er can do. I liked the results so much I went ahead and bought another one for future rock chips/cracks.

Missing and incorrect items in kit.
I recently Purchased a Versachen window repair kit. items missing in this kit included a pin to removeloose material from cracked areas and a razor blade to remove pedestal from window after completionof repair. The biggest problem with the kit was instead of a yellow curing film, a plan piece of plastic wassupplied rendering the kit useless. This is second time I've purchased this product, so I know what should beincluded in the the kit. Unfortunately the second kit was defective. Do Not buy !

you're better off going to a professional
It works ok but I had to redo a few spots and that's after watching several how-to videos and following the product instructions. For what it is, it works well, but if you have allot of glass chips or one large chip, you're better off going to a professional. That way if they don't do a good job, you don't have to pay them.
