Shearwater Research Swift AI Transmitter

I’ve owned other brands of integrated air computers and transmitters that would often lose communication with the dive computer. Not cool at 100ft underwater. Ive had about 10 dives now with m new Shearwater Periquine and this Swift AI Transmitter. I’ve never lost connection and the readings are soooo much more accurate than my manual gauge set. With previous computers, I’ve always had to have my gauges on as a backup. I’m hoping to get to the point where I don’t have to with this setup!

Simple to pair, no device collisions with other transmitter or lost connections so far. Battery is simple to change and convenient. Only complaint is most divers run a HP extension hose with these to help maintain line of sight for wireless transmissions and for 400 dollars they could include the required 4 dollar air spool you will need to use.

I thought this came with the perdix 2 and the price was really high

To be honest, very overpriced. It’s a bit gimmicky as well. It doesn’t do anything that my redundant analog gauges don’t. That being said, it’s a nice luxury to have. Less movements when diving as you can just peak at your dive computer and get all the info you need. Takes some of the mental math out of diving. Set up was quick and easy. Connects right away every time. There’s definitely not a need for this unless you do tech diving or just like to have cool gadgets for the sake of having them

I recently bought both the Perdix 2 Ti Black and a Swift Transmitter to go with it. This past weekend I had the chance to try them out for the first time. I love it! Multiple dives and I didn't notice any lost comms between the two devices at all. The batteries still say full after a long weekend of diving. At first I was worried about all the talk with the over pressure relief valve randomly bursting. I contact Shearwater and a few of their service centers and they assured me that the issue was thourghly investigated and new models 2023 have been corrected to prevent the issue that was occuring in rare cases. I have not had any issues with mine so far. I opted to put mine on a short HP hose that way it doesn't get banged up as much and also doesn't get mistakenly used as a handle by others. Great purchase! Can't wait to get more dives in with it!

I have used 2 transmitters at the same time. They were working perfectly.
