I've tried many hair products over the years, and this is my favorite since it has excellent lasting hold while at the same time having a non-shiny look. It also doesn't give your hair a hard, plastic-like feel that some others do. The scent is also key, this one having a pleasant, mild scent opposed to others I've tried that are too strong and perfume-like. Also, a little Atlas matte goes a long way with my hair, so each can lasts several months. (I have short/medium length hair that's pretty thick)

Excellent hair product, product packaging could be a little better. Smaller and potentially a glass jar would be better

I’ve ordered this product a couple times via amazon. I have pretty straight, fine hair and like to style it in a couple of ways that help create more body and shape. It has a nice, smooth semi-firm, putty texture, spreads easily on my fingers or palm and works well into my hair both when its dry or damp. I get nice volume combing it through my dry hair with it on my fingers, creating nice separation with no sheen. When hair is more damp us a bit more of it to create a tussled, slick back style that keeps a little shine but not too much.Recently, an order arrived from Amazon all dried out with the product, shrunken from the can, unusable. I decided to go to the brand’s website and email them about the issue. They responded almost immediately with an offer to send me out a brand new product from their warehouse. It appears Amazon has some old stock mixed in with new stock and that was the issue with mine.I really appreciate that they stand behind their product—it shows how committed they are to the customer, top that with the fact that it’s a great product and I’m a fan.

So I know the hair clay is supposed to be for men but I have loved using it on my own hair. It helps keep my hair looking smooth and not so frizzy. I have natural curly hair and some times it looks frizzy but the hair putty has helped keep it looking smooth. I love it! It also works wonderfully on my sons hair too! He has longer wavy hair and it keeps his hair from looking frizzy! I love the hair putty! Also, it smells amazing!

I loved this product but the last two times I purchased this Semi-Matte Putty, it came in the container hard, dry, and shrunken, as if it was old and they send me an expired product. The previous 5 times I purchased before then were fresh and soft. I don't know what's going on but this makes me not want to purchase something I really love. 1st time I thought was a fluke and purchased it again, but the second time is a pattern. I see other people are having the same problem.

This product did not list correct ingredients in it. When I got it it listed chamomile and I believe maybe rosemary…and another one proven to lower testosterone. Heads up fellas tea tree, lavender, mint, spearmint, aloe, chamomile, and a handful of other essential oils/plant extracts are clinically proven to lower testosterone and raise estrogen, obviously bad news for guys. Do some research and you’ll be more careful with purchases. That said the stuff was perfect, not matte but definitely not shiny and just the right amount of hold for put together styles like the side part. Take out those ingredients Atlas and you have a solid product…the best I’ve ever used for my medium length wavy thick hair.

I originally bought this product for husband and it smelled so good that I had to buy one for my boyfriend too! They both love how this matte pomade makes your hair feel and smell. I recommend any of the Atlas products for the guy or guys in your life.

First of all when you open the packaging, you will encounter a great smell. Smells so good like it has cologne in it. Texture wise, it's semi-soft. Hold medium will need you to use a blow dryer to keep it strong and make a strong hold.I dont see too much shine, if you want more shine dont BLOW dry. If you want Matte look blow dry it!
