The Forte Naturals Vitamin C 1500mg Liposomal Complex supplements are a great addition to anyone's day. They are vegan which is important to me and also a good value for your money since you get 180 capsule in the bottle.

The capsule is pretty substantial--about the size of my finger tip. But despite that, it's very easy to swallow. There's no susceptible smell, taste, or aftertaste. I take it without food and haven't experienced any stomach upset. Compared to other liposomal vitamin C capsules of the same dosage, these are a bit more expensive. The dosing instructions say to take 2 capsules, but that's way more vitamin C than I need, so I just take one capsule. I chose "Forte Naturals Vitamin C Complex 1500mg Capsules" because the product listing showed they were "made in the USA". This is important as I do not take supplements that are manufactured outside the USA. The bottle of capsules that arrived showed the capsuled were "Manufactured for ...", but nowhere was there any information about the country-of-origin or a statement these were "made in the USA". This is either an oversight or a deception - as a result, I am rating these as only a 2-star item.

The actual vitamin pills aren't pills, they're capsules. And indeed, they are very large capsules. Each capsule is almost an inch long. According to the recommendations on the bottle, the serving size is two capsules, which gives you a 90-day supply in the container. Two of these capsules give you 1500 mg of vitamin c, which is about 1500% more than the day's minimum requirement. So, and less you have a condition that requires that you take enormous amounts of vitamin c, one of these capsules would be plenty, in my opinion. In addition, right on the label, they recommend taking these with a meal - which tells me that a pill of this size could possibly cause you some stomach upset.Reading the label further, it says that the pills are manufactured for Forte Naturals out of Miami Florida, but it does not say that these are manufactured in Florida, or indeed in the United States. The ad states that the pills are made in the USA, but the bottle does not say it is made in the USA but implies it. So I'm not sure exactly where these are manufactured, only that they're manufactured for a company that's out of Miami. That makes me a little curious.

Liposomal C is absorbed by the body very well thanks to the added sunflower lecithin. This is a quality brand and you get 180 capsules -- 90 days' worth -- at a reasonable price.My husband can't take this as regular vitamin C hurts his stomach and this doesn't specify what form of C is contained, so we have to assume it's ascorbic acid, the most common form of C -- the kind I take. I'd love to see this with calcium ascorbate or other easy-on-the-stomach form so he could safely take it, too.For me, it's great. The only thing I don't like is the vegan capsules. They taste nasty to me, but they're the wave of the future so I hold my breath and swallow, and I don't hold that against the company.
